Would somebody measure the diameter of the hole in a pair of Grado flat pads? I think I'm going to but the pads for the SR60 and just cut my own hole. Thank.

The comfy pads aren't hte same as the flat pads.

Completely different material... Flats are firm like Maria Sharapova's ass the bowls, where comfies are a much softer foam. Though I would guess the hole added to comfies would still be an improvement. I almost did this to my MS-1s before deciding to sell them.

The hole is 1", btw.

thanks for answering my question and the extra info. I'll take that into concideration. I may now buy both and report later if there is a difference in sound quality.

hm. now I want to wear a pair of grados with flat pads more than before.
