You don't need high res to rip laserdisc, that's 480i.

It's analog, sure. But it's also ntsc, so it only has 240 lines of resolution.

Laserdisc had more than 400 lines. It was much higher quality than VHS and VHS was in the 200s.

For some reason, all I think of when you say that is 60fps or 29.97 deinterlaced for NTSC or 25fps for PAL internally. What does frame rate have to do with the resolution?
