Yes. The sound is very different to the CD transport I used before it, I will report back in a few days if interested.

The bottom line is: all these USB converter thingies do matter a lot to the sound so if a DAC has mediocre USB input, it might worth to use something better.

Yep. It's not weird or different to me any more. It took me some time to get used to. I like it, but I'm game to try something new now.

Yes, I feel that my system is sounding a bit too smooth now at times, although crappier recordings are much easier to listen to and it is easier on the ears. Plus the soundstage got a lot bigger and better defined.

The amp I use is only a temporary solution and handicapping the performance, might get something that is brighter.

Is there a movie player which I can use with this? I need 24bit data support format of course.
