The bottom line is: all these USB converter thingies do matter a lot to the sound so if a DAC has mediocre USB input, it might worth to use something better. padam Posted December 6, 2010 Report Share Posted December 6, 2010 Yes, I feel that my system is sounding a bit too smooth now at times, although crappier recordings are much easier to listen to and it is easier on the ears. Plus the soundstage got a lot bigger and better defined. The amp I use is only a temporary solution and handicapping the performance, might get something that is brighter.
