September 12, 201114 yr Just wondering if anyones tried Craig's teflon, pressure adjustable tube sockets? They're very $$$ ($70) but if I was building a 300B/2A3 amp using "the good stuff" parts, it wouldn't be totally out of line. http://www.eddiecurrent.com/Tube_Socket.html
September 13, 201114 yr I have those teflon tube sockets in my Eddie Current Equilibrato and they are great sockets. The tubes are easy to get in and out and are very well made. I'm not an expert on tube sockets, but I love them.

You never feel as if the sockets are too loose fitting - or so tight that you might fly backwards when pulling a tube out. I can't say how they are going to like the long term though, but they do seem very high quality.
