  1. Well, just found out this morning....the Bone Marrow Drive my son and friend helped run yielded yet ANOTHER match!!!!! Hopefully will help/save the life of a 22-year old fighting Leukemia. I can't believe the odds, we signed up just under 100 people to the registry, and achieving two matches is amazing.

  3. So... if anyone remembers, I snagged a pair of ECR-800s from YJ, and the headband somehow broke on me. I've gotten them repaired by a very skilled technician, and recabled with a Gamma pro cable. I can now confirm that they will run off Stax amplifiers, on normal bias I've also replaced the connectors on the Sony transformer box with Justin's teflon Stax connectors, so the next test now is to run a Stax headphone off that box.
  4. Yes, that'll settle a 3-year old's stomach, good idea..... Oh....wait.......
  5. Yeah, I cannot imagine that it would be much fun but I would be willing to do it if it really helped someone in need. Maybe I was denied because I had arthroscopic hip surgery (which puts a tiny anchor in the hip bone)? Ps. My grad student got an even better postdoc offer today! She is still thinking of tenure tracks jobs at teaching schools, but I really hope she takes this one.
