  1. Wait till you see what he's gonna do to the gun owner's community... I was at a gun shop 2 weeks ago and people were buying left and right. I guaren-fuckin-tee it's going to be a madhouse this weekend.
  2. I'm pretty impressed so far. Been using ER4P's primarily with it at the moment. Just proves again to me that the Etys do have bass. Seems to do an ok job with the Senn 600s... but for the moment I'm only using the Etys while I'm out and about.
  3. Driver and passenger walked away. Poor Ferrari...
  4. if it is it's way too small. Sure looks like one of the tiny USB cable port. It's tempting to take apart, but I'm not the best on re-assembling things.
  5. Just picked one up today. It's bigger than I thought. Mine is slightly different than the pic here. It has a small notch cut out in between the two ports. Sort of looks like a small USB port, but there's nothing inside it.
  6. It's a lot bigger than I thought it would be!

Just no discussion about your nether-regions... ok?

  9. How hard is it to ride in the rain on a motorcycle? Can't even imagine what it's like to hit a pothole on one.
  10. Got my MBP back tonight. Spent 3 fucking hours pulling my hair out trying to connect to the internet. Whoever worked on it set the Security firewall to "Set Access For Specific Services & Applications" which forced my Mac to constantly pick 169. blah-blah-blah for an ip. They replaced the logic board and one of the memory sticks. When they brought out the bill I gave them the printout (thank you very much Hopstretch!) that Apple posted about repairing MBPs with video issues for free. They had to get the manager, but he said ok... no problem. Evidently they didn't know about the recall/fix. I was surprised about the memory stick going bad, but that might explain some issues I've had as of late. Played around with a few of the new laptops. I still like mine, but I have to admit I kind of like the new keyboard. It's recessed down just a bit.
  11. Use a SpyderPro2 every two weeks on mine... Hope my laptop is ready this week...
  12. My 'Pro is in front on the right. Haven't looked at a Macbook up close though...
  13. Looks like they've definitely changed the internals. Relocated the superdrive to the upper right corner of the keyboard instead of the lower right corner. Dunno about the keyboard...
  14. That's fantastic news. I'm going to print that out and take it with me when I go back to pick it up from the store!
  15. Last Thursday my MacBook Pro went dark. I got it from Apple last August 10th (2007) and have had no issues with it at all. Been rock solid. I was called downstairs for a quick meeting so I closed the lid and took it down with me. When I opened it up there was no screen. Looked like it was turned off. Went over to my brother-in-law's house and restarted it in Target Disk Mode and scanned it with Drive Genius. The drive said it was fine but no video. Left it at Mac Authority and 3 days later they informed me that the logic card needed to be replaced! One of the guys I work with mentioned that there's been a glut of MBPs that have had this failure and those of us out of warranty are having to pay $700-$1200 to fix them. I googled "Macbook Pro black screen" and there was a shitload of stuff that popped up. Evidently NVidia had a few bad chip sets that went into quite a few cards... both Mac and PC. NVidia has admitted it, but Apple so far has failed to admit there's an issue. There are two threads on the Apple support site. One got so long they closed it and opened up another. No rep from Apple answered any questions in either of the threads. Mac Authority wanted $700 to fix it. My Dad was at an official Apple store and talked to the manager about the problem. He just rolled is eyes and said he had the exact same problem with his own laptop. I figured I had nothing to lose so I made an appointment with the Apple store across town and had them look at it. Showed them the summary that I recieved from MA and he told me to wait a minute and went into the back. He comes back out and tells me that for a flat rate of $310 Apple will fix it. So far out of all of the forums I've found virtually no one has got this deal with the exception of one other person... and he had to go through 2 Apple support people on the phone. Don't know if they're quietly addressing the problem or I lucked out. I was hoping for a little more negotiating since I was barely out of warranty but that's as good as it gets. So learn from my mistake. Get the warranty... especially if you have a Macbook Pro.
