  1. Just finished series 2. Building upon series 1 with more emotional rawness. PW-B's choices are brilliant, both in front of the camera & behind.

    Kerry,

Wendell Diller came into town last week for his latest roadshow, demo-ing these:

(pic is not from the shop where I heard them, but I don't have a decent pic from that night)

Inside panels are for mid & upper freqs, while outer panels are for lows.

Santa Clarita Diet -- this show is the BEST!  I love black comedies.

Watched season 1 last week, and binged season 2 today. Love this show!

Olyphant & Barrymore are perfect, as are all the supporting cast. Using the "zombie-ism" as a metaphor for the main couple dealing with mid-life changes & acceptance is brilliant.

  4. Spiral fractures from slipping on ice last week - one near bottom of tibia, the other at top of fibula:

Now have a plate & screws inside anchoring everything for healing.

I have a feeling my leg looks a little like Colin's underneath the cast, just not as "pretty" :P

    Counterpart.

    Liking it so far.

Just finished ep4 - really like too. This is how to develop an environment that is both cold-war retro and cutting edge at the same time. Characters you care about, some you probably hate, and those you aren't quite sure about. Keeping the mystery, while dripping just enough substance to keep you engaged.

Also first ep of  "Here and Now" - it's basically "This is Us" but on HBO-roids. Depressingly raw (you've been warned), but promising. I actually hope its a limited run to keep the writing tight.

  6. Altered Carbon starring Joel Kinnaman -- awesome!  One of my favourite cyberpunk novels, and though I've only watched one episode so far, very happy with the treatment.
"The instinct of violence curls inside us like a parasite, waiting for a chance to feed on our rage and multiply until it bursts out of us."
Saw the first episode. Thought it was a hot mess. Found little to care about the characters, including the lead *shrug*
