Super mode is super (preamp mode)! I have friends with 650s that are satisfied, but they're not Grado owners.

The "custom connectors" I saw on the SAA site are the elusive Oyaide XLR plugs. $275 for a set of 4. Never seen them on a cable until this.

Just saying I like its appearance, and that there's not a lot that anyone can say about its choice of tubes as there aren't real many amps out there that have those tubes. Sheesh.

Hay guys, do piezos make it sound better

Just got this baby installed. It sounds a little better than my Moodlab did, still breaking in, only 1 hour old. Have a 1962 GE tube in it, been conjuring up the wallet resources to get a fancier tube like a 396 or a Bendix *shudder*. Seems to be more musical than other DACs as people have told me...you really get a feel for the instruments not just fancy bold noises and sounds. And with that, I'll take any questions. MHDT has good service, they took about a day to get back to me and then I got set up. DAC took 4 days to come. Shipped Saturday, came Wednesday. They're turbo fast, it cleared customs in 4 hours luckily enough. There was a powdered Chinese tube in the box, and a '87 GE tube safely inside the well packed Havana...but something crunched the little tube that wasn't as well packed.

It's kind of badass, but the Woo stuff sure is easier to afford. Might be worth it for those cool wires going up to the top of the tubes. Saw a satisfied customer for it on headfi but the choice of tubes on this amp is making a few people puzzled, I've never seen/heard of an amp with these tubes. Might sound really good though, who knows. At nearly 6 grand it's going to take some bravery to find out.

Holy God, is it one piece? are those sideways tubes? Nifty.
