I was going to call the Lily The Beta22 but that just seemed weird.
Yeah, a little RSAish, although I completely understand the desire.
Sweet aesthetic!
-
lol @ bottom right
Papa's got a brand new bag! Haaa!
-
Mmmm! Focals and tubes, very nice Renato!
So you can enjoy an amp that you did not build as well huh? Though you'll probably have an urge to tweak it.
-
Fine, fine ya' bunch of angry bastards.
My lawyer tells me that's all I can show you for now.
Very HeadAmpish, which is an alltogether good thing!
-
Oh that's much better! The dreaded Red X that just sits there when clicked upon. Thanks a lot!
Oops, I spoke too soon. In the immortal words of Rosanne Rosanna Danna... "Never Mind".

Wow, looking good!
I got some panels in today as well but I can't publish them yet.
I'm sorry, if you're not going to post pics you simply cannot bait us with the knowledge that you received any panels at all!
Yeesh! Talk about your faux pas.
Now Marc on the other hand did post pics of his new panels, and I want to say how absolutely yummy they look!
We just have no way of knowing if Nate's are yummy too, or look like dog poo.
-
Stunning!
So is it a BH or different design?
-
They are actually v2's but it will be very cool to read about any comparisons between the NAD and Marc's set which is v1
I just heard the same from the seller. Although he says that smeggy absolutely loves his pair, so I'm even more interested in hearing them.
I remember smeggy mentioning something about how the best housing for the SFIs was basically a wooden hockey puck... seems like he wasn't too far off. These drivers do not resemble the SFI drivers though. Although they're Orthodynamic, they have a different design altogether.
-
I'll be making solid wood face panels for these big boys.
Maple with Pink Ivory heart shaped inlays. Marc did you want little Purple Heart daisy inlays as well? No extra charge.

I love my JT'ed β22, but my sources have always been pretty hot.
-
I think it's the Femto that Naaman is waiting on for our Buffalo builds.
Me want bad after hearing his Buffalo mule.
-
Um, then you should take that up with Brantley Hargrove... as I clearly stated in the first line of my post.
My mistake. I knew you were quoting here, and I meant to type "the wording", not "your wording".

They hold these belt sander races at a little bar about 3 minutes from my house. They're wildly fun to watch, but people keep trying to get me to race my $400.00 sander that is a work tool.
You should see some of the modifications some people do.

The second set of pics is from my neighborhood bar.

So, wait, are you or are you not in favor of being an international police force? You aren't in terms of Iraq, but you seem to be for Darfur and Rwanda. Do you want us to comply with the UN or not? We didn't as regards Iraq, which I doubt you look favorably upon. We did as regards Rwanda and Darfur. Are you happy about the outcome there?
My sole point was that we chose our battles on much more than human rights violations. My personal stand on Rwanda or Darfur are completely unimportant to my argument.
While oil is currently much more affordable than it has been, it was not for the majority of the war. That renders the "we invaded for the oil" argument null. We've been there before, and we didn't bother with the oil the first time except to extinguish fires. Do you have any evidence that we will have a controlling interest over oil after we eventually withdraw our current troops from Iraq?So staying in Iraq long enough to see the implementation of a stable regime that we most certainly have helped to select is not in any way tied to the fact that Iraq is sitting on top of one of the worlds largest oil reserves? Hey pull my finger... no really pull my finger.
However, the overthrow of that regime and the subsequent efforts to foster a stable regime representative of the people are admirable things. Nonetheless, I'd prefer to spread some democracy in other ways in the future.Admirable? In the same way that a car salesman selling you a new car after your old hunk of junk dies is admirable.
Necessary? After invading a country and laying it to waste, I'd be more inclined to go with this argument.

Look at what he walked into: 9/11.
I take exception to the wording here. Your wording implies that this was left over from the past administration. Bush was firmly planted as our President when these attacks took place.
A presidency in its infancy presided over the most devastating foreign attack on domestic soil in this country's history and suddenly became a war-time presidency. In the wake of the attacks, Bush enjoyed a 90 percent approval rating. An ABC News/Washington Post poll showed 62 percent of Americans cheerleading the invasion into Iraq. The Senate and the House both approved resolutions for the invasion with wide margins. It seems to me that Iraq and the Taliban are being looped together here, and they are two very different things. It still annoys the hell out of me when people put 911 and Iraq together as one and the same. And I also know that the polls you quote were when American's were bullshitted into believing that Iraq was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction. Let's do a little research into his popularity once this little detail was found to be false. We were lead into that war on false pretense.
-
I've argued the Iraq war here too many times. To suggest that it was in anyway a good thing is absurd. Many thousands of innocent Iraqis died. Thousands of soldiers died and thousands more wounded. I know war is hell but it's even worse when that war didn't have to happen. Aardvark, are you young enough to serve? If you are and think it's such a great thing, get your ass out there and fight it. And if you really think Bush and his buddies are innocent despite all we've learned to date, which is the tip of the iceberg since the Republicans blocked almost every attempt to investigate the basis for the war. Let's not forget that 9/11 occurred 9 months into Bush's presidency but no one wants to blame him for letting that happen. If it were a dem, the rep would have impeached and then tar and feathered him.
As to the housing market. This is from 10/02:
YouTube - economic crisis president bush mortgage speech
Then there is the Enron Loophole courtesy of Phil Gramm and the SEC changing the Net Capital Rule which was changed in '04 which may have led to the investment bank failures.
While I don't agree that the Bush administration is solely to blame for not uncovering the 911 plot (Let's not forget that the Trade centers were attacked under Clinton's administration as well) , I do pretty much agree with everything else you've said.
And I'm astonished that anyone can even try to downplay the utter failures of W's administration.
Is that unreasonable? People are happy that they aren't dead, tortured, or systematically abused? That seems like a valid point of view, to me.No denying the atrocities committed by Saddam's regime, but why the hell do we have to be the worlds police force every time? This country cannot afford to right all the wrongs in the world. And let's be realistic here, we did not go to Iraq on a mission to help the oppressed. Surely you aren't that naive. If that were our real mission there would be several other invasions in other countries that we've turned our backs on. Darfur or Rwanda ring any bells? Oh wait they didn't have substantial oil reserves.

Palin is a ridiculous circus clown up on the top of the list with Britney and Paris, no wait, they actually paid for the clothing on their backs.
I dare to state that you don't have a flippin' clue what Sarah Palin has accomplished as the Governor of the State of Alaska!
Your comments are certainly in response to the ridiculous media attempts at painting her to be the dittzy blonde that's more worried about her wardrobe than the business of politics.
If you have some actual criticisms of her decisions at the helm of the State of Alaska I'd love to here them. But if your just basing your opinions from the media's less than newsworthy "Little Lady" campaign that's just ignorant.
Why didn't the media comment on Barack's, Joe's or John's wardrobes? Because no one gives a shit, and why should that be different because the candidate is female?
I'm actually ashamed of how the media has responded to a female VP candidate. I'd have expected them to take a female VP candidate seriously, and not focus on such ridiculous trivial crap.
I assure you that she's quite adept at kickin' ass and taken' names.

Yup, I'm kind of a fan of a flat tax, 0 deductions kind of policy. If for no other reason that paying taxes to enforce paying taxes (the IRS) doesn't sit well with me. In 2005, the last fiscal year available, it cost the IRS approximately 10 billion dollars to collect our taxes. I'd like to think that that money could be put to a lot better use and that a simplified tax code could go a long way to reducing that number. Of course a substantial reduction of the IRS will probably never happen but I hope to live to see it.
Very well put, and I completely agree. A flat tax is not only fair, but much more efficient.
But I agree with Nate that we'll never see it in our lifetimes.

I think anime is stupid no matter what, so I don't waste my time in discussing anime with people.
Oh My God! That may very well become more controversial than this political thread. Are you prepared for the fallout? I must admit I'm with you here, but it may just be the two of us against the masses.
Sorry Fitz!

Steve, with all due respect, I will have to disagree with your claim that redistributing wealth is the same thing as socialism.
And I'm hoping that his plan for that is far short of socialism. That remains to be seen, but again I do feel hopeful and I'm looking forward to a term of enlightened change. I just can't help some skepticism with any candidate. Rounding the bend toward the big 5-0 has much to do with that me thinks.
-
I think we need to be more careful pulling the race card out here. Do you really know your fellow members well enough to make this assumption? If the candidates were both the same race there would still be a heated controversy about each of them...there always is.
I for one have doubts about Obama's experience, but I remain hopeful and welcome a change.
I also believe 4-8 more years of the same economic strategies would be a big blow to this country. Although seeing first hand what she did for Alaska in such a short time, I'm a big Sarah Palin fan. That's right Bubba, that's what I said!
As for race, I won't say that it made no difference to me. That would be a lie. I don't consider myself a racist, but we all have some prejudices that are nurtured from a very young age. I believe that understanding that and owning up to that is the only way we're going to be able to start to change our own inherited, unwanted, senseless ideas that skin color is a valid reason for fear or hatred.
My hesitance in fully supporting Obama stems not from the color of his skin, but from his lack of experience and his "share the wealth" ideology. That wreaks a little of socialism to me. Socialism as an idea may look appealing, but in practice it's always been a disaster IMHO.
I'm sure that some will still think me a racist just because I'm not waving an Obama flag overly enthusiastically, but in truth had Condoleezza Rice been a Presidential candidate I'd have been the first in line to vote for her.
I'm an aging cynic who's been lied to by too many politicians to ever get overly enthusiastic too quickly these days, but I will support and respect Barack Obama as my countries President until given sufficient reason not to.

If you can get in on the feeding frenzy and have the ability or find someone to build it for you, I think the TP Buffalo would fit the bill nicely. Plus it could also be made balanced so you wouldn't have to upgrade in the future.
Couldn't agree more!
I've listened to a lot of DACs, and owned some winners, but this DAC still floored me.
We're talking leaps above the cost of build, in terms of SQ.

they're pieces of stabilized maple burl that are cnc milled and then hand sanded and lacquered. please tell me i can send the pieces to you for finishing on the next 4 im going to make.
As long as they're stabilized no problem, otherwise they'll curl up pretty quickly.
I look forward to even such a small role in such an incredible project.
it can't be as good as anything RSA will build, because it has no bling.I beg to differ Sir. I'll take organic bling over metalic bling any day of the week!
Working on a new panel... what do you think?
