This song is just six words long.

I mean it only as a sign of respect. Anytime someone mentions George Harrison, I get that melody stuck in my head for hours. Whistling it now as I type.

Since most all of my listening is done through usb, I'm tempted to pick up this board for the improved USB connection. Then again, spending another $800 takes the PWD a bit past the pricepoint I was originally wanting to pay for a DAC.

You got laid once, and it only lasted 25 seconds?
I was aiming for 20, but exceeded expectations by 25%.

I'd love to see you guys write some more critical and technical reviews.
I wrote one. http://www.head-fi.org/t/577060/irvine-orange-county-meet-impressions#post_7843639

Is it too late to throw myself into the mix for 4 pro-bias jacks?

When I built my reg. kgss, I set the input fets close to each other, but didn't bother gluing them. The dc offset never got too out of hand. It did move a bit more than I liked during warm-up, but it was still well within safe limits.

The drivers themselves are fine, it's the cable connection that's cutting out. From some of the posts I've researched this can be blamed on poor strain relief.
I only posted that to give you an idea of how blatantly they hammer people for repairs.

To the Birgir-mobile!
I'd like to think whoever made that pic was tripping balls while watching HeMan and drinking eggnog.

I've pulled my sr007 apart. If i'm on the same page with you here, you'll have to disassemble your driver housing to get inside the piece you're looking at. Not a very minor job.
Yamas wanted $1800 for driver replacement (replaced with mk2)... more expensive than just getting another sr007 mk1. They're awful and should be bypassed whenever possible.

Got mine a while back. Thanks Kerry. Now to figure out what project to put them in.

Too hot here yesterday for tube amps to be on too long, but I fired the T2 up for a bit and the phones do sound very, very good. Remind me of the SR-Omega, but I think the stage is a bit smaller, not sure. I am terrible at descriptions but I will try some more after I listen again.
I might know a guy in the area with a kgss... just sayin'.

ED? I hear that's treatable nowadays.

Is there any way to source these? I believe my squealing SR007 need new drivers and I'm too afraid to send the pair to yamas. I fear they'll just put on mk2 drivers, charge me a whole bunch of money, and you'll all have to witness a grown man crying.
As for the SR-007 drivers, it's just one of these things that I get offered from random people. Odds are though that replacements would be Mk2 parts which sound like poo...
From yamas: "There is only 1 driver for both MK1 and MK2 and cost is approx. $1800."
Anyone have some lube? Apparently replacing the drivers on my mk1 to make it an ugly mk2 will cost more than buying another mk1.
-
Since I have spare SR-007 Mk1 drivers (who hasn't... ) I'll probably try a driver transplant and see if the drivers are at fault here.

Can you mark me down for one more kgsshv psu board? Thanks. Will send payment upon response.

Guess it's time to start that DIY Time Dilator thread you've been dreaming about.
Libya's in shambles... probably wouldn't be too hard to get some plutonium now.

Updated spreadsheet for my requested items.
Looking to get 3 KGSSHV sets. One with on-board sinks, two with off-board sinks.
Also looking for one dynahi and one dynafet boardset, each with 2 psus.

"Beats" would make a good novelty account (MOT: Suck Suck Suck). Fortunately, H-C doesn't have reddit style novelty accounts. Well, besides Beelee, I mean.
I should petition for the MOT: Suck Suck Suck title.

There's no turning back now
We've got 46 assemblies committed so far out of 69 (after I removed the folks that bowed out).
I've got some ideas on how to keep the price, but I want to see where we end up first.
Thanks Nate, you're always welcome, but we're not going to be in jeopardy.
I'll get the payment for you soon. My paypal account is freaking out.

Someone who blew their wad on the tubes?
My favorite part about solid state. When you blow your load, you just have to make sure to avoid the cable.

the Evo has about a half second delay with audio and video sync on movies. I've also run it from toslink from the Evo to the DAC, still no static, but the delay is there. I've had the same results running the Evo directly to the Hertsens DAC as well.
I play the occasional game and watch tv shows on my PC, so this is quite a dealbreaker for me.

I assume it's still perfectly capable of mounting to an angle bracket for those of us without industrial grade mills.

Only terrorists and pedophiles put the volume knob on the left.
CT = Center-tap.

you have to touch together 2 bare wires to make a change in volume
I would rather rig up a set of switches to look like Hello Kitty.
