  1. Simply classic...best laugh I've had all month!
  2. There were rumours that Sennheiser delayed the released and went back and made some changes.
  3. Did they change the HD700 at the line of scrimmage so to speak? Is this unit a newly released one that you're referring too? If so, then a major fail by Sennheiser.
  4. I think it would, very much!
  5. I'll have to think on that one.
  6. Thanks for the clarification. Yes I was referring to both the GSX equivalent and B22. I like and respect both amps, I happen to prefer the GS-1/X.
  7. I guess that's part of the issue with a DIY amp...they can vary by certain degrees.
  8. Actually GS-1 and GS-X. For me, they are the standards I use for SS amps.
  9. Compared to the Dynalo (GS-1), Dynamid (GS-X) or Dynahi it was to my ears, regardless of headphones. It is a very nice sounding (warm and musical amp), but not the last word with regards to transparency.
  10. Did you ever consider the B22's stepped down treble and darker tone to not be an ideal match for the LCD-2s? At least that's what I found with the combination. Nice write up though.
  11. Quick question, what's the output impedance of the B22 vs. say the GS-1? Aren't they both very low and in turn "overdamped"?
  12. Completely agreed here. Don't blame "wire with gain amps" for showing you the issues you have upstream. Being transparent, that's kinda their thing.
  13. Then he would most likely have one of the veiled pairs. Kudos to purrin for being able to "fix" his pair with such an easy method. That said, the difference in FR graphs with and without the TP mod isn't night and day to my eyes.
  14. Are you sure that the LCD-3s weren't just showing you the flaws in your recording; while the LCD-2s were glossing over it? If you hear it on several recordings, then it might be the headphones. But sometimes I find that we blame transparent gear for showing us flaws in the source material.
  15. I still think the HE-6s are harder to drive.
  16. Cool...thanks.
  17. Just curious as to your thoughts about why they wouldn't make a good match? I agree that most of them seem over priced for the performance that they bring to the table.
  18. I guess you're right.
  19. Or even a Dynalo...all would be better options methinks.
  20. Isn't it a Class A-B amp? For that price, seems like there are better options for less $$$.
  21. Nope...I think you've got it the other way around.
  22. Please enlighten us how these comments line up with: http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudezeLCD2Rev2.pdf and http://www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudezeLCD3sn2312454.pdf They measure quite similar with a small advantage to the LCD-3s. Unless your pair has been damaged/tampered with/defective, your comments just don't add up.
  23. Or PS500s? They measure very closely to the HF-2s.
  24. That's a mouthful for sure.
  25. If they measure or sound anything like the W5000s, BUYER please listen to them before buying!
