  1. I think I have a couple boards I could sell you. Send me a PM.
  2. That makes sense. Not to get greedy, but adjustable gain from the front panel would be a great feature.
  3. Dumb question, but is the intent to use this between the "multiamp" board and an input selector board? Or would the gain be taken care of on this se/bal board and the "multiamp board would be eliminated.
  4. So I'm a bit confused as it seems like this thread has wandered off to some other designs more recently. Where does the KGITSOJC stand these days?
  5. I'll be there, but you already knew that.
  6. Nice. Does this amp require much if any matching of parts?
  7. Another very interesting thread. I'm just hoping a few of these projects actually make it to the board fab shop...
  8. Kerry, have you had a chance to play around with the multiamp boards at all or does the new job still have you swamped?
  9. Sweet! Looking forward to hearing your findings Kerry.
  10. Jacks received last night. They are excellent quality and the fit is perfect (snug but does not take a ton of force to insert the connector). Thanks Justin!
  11. Anything new going down, on the KGITSOJC front?
  12. Even though they wouldn't come cheap, I bet your heatsinks would be a popular item. I'd add some of the commonly used film caps too, like the 0.1uF/1000V and 0.22uF/1000V. The later are a little harder to get a hold of. Maybe even some of the larger 680uF/450V aluminum caps. They aren't super cheap on Mouser/Digikey, and I'm sure you could get a much better price in bulk. Great idea Justin, and much appreciated by us DIYers!
  13. Justin, please put me down for (4) pro jacks. Thanks sir!
  14. I still like the idea of being able to board mount the attenuator. I'd be perfectly fine if the board grew a bit to incorporate a DACT attenuator.
  15. T-Money definitely has one. I helped him build it. 1 Kevin Gilmore 2 Spritzer 3 Horio 4 Dave 5 Blubliss 6 Victor Chew 7 Hdman 8 Johnwmcclean 9 Eggil 10 T-Money
  16. I'd be fine with the board getting a bit longer to fit an RK50 or DACT (I'll probably use the latter if its an option). Love the name and I like where this build is heading.
  17. I like that idea! A high quality board mounted pot or DACT attenuator sounds great to me.
  18. Crazy idea but with all that extra space to the sides of the input stage, it would be really sweet to somehow throw in the KG attenuator. That way the amp box could be one of the small compact Hifi2000 1U case like these.
  19. Very nice! How snug is the fit with the stax connector?
  20. My experience has been that the correct hole diameter is completely dependent on the pin. I have 3-4 different types of pins. Some fit perfectly in the jacks, and some are super tight. You may already be thinking this, but I would make sure you purchase a ton of the same type of pin and tweak the hole size as necessary to get your preferred fit. I like my jacks to be snug but I don't like to fight the jack when inserting the headphone connector.
  21. That is really reasonable. Are you going to include pins, or would that be an add on?
  22. Kerry, How is the testing of the multi-amp boards going? Just curious.
  23. I might be interested in couple as well, depending on the price.
