LX5, no. I have been looking quite closely at the Olympus XZ-1. It has a faster lens and arguably better handling than the S95. It's also got a hot shoe, which is boon, especially as I have a hotshoe-to-PC adapter. It's bit more expensive at $500, but it just might be my next camera.

Eight modules, each of which is essentially a DX7 in a rack card. Stop snickering. FM synthesis gets a bad rap because of horrible presets and cheesy electric piano patches from the 1980s. When it comes to weird sound effects and making anything that sounds like two pieces of metal being slammed together, FM synthesis pwns. TX816 connected to an MV802 mixer with $200 in Mogami cables. I love synth nerds.

I have a 13.3" MB404LL/A (early 2008) MacBook. It's got a 2.4GHz C2D, 2GB of RAM and a 250GB drive. I'm ordering a 4GB upgrade for it today from MemoryX. I like that company because they guarantee what they sell will work with the machines they list. I notice that they have a 500GB drive listed on the page for my machine. I asked a friend of mine who is an alpha geek on the subject, and he said he suspected that I could "probably" get a 1TB drive to work with my laptop. Where would I begin to look to find that out and more imporantly what HDD models work well? So far googling has given me mountains of irrelevant and useless info. I have in the past considered trying to get a SSD to work in this machine, as I tend to lug it all over for DJing purposes. That said, at this point I think I'd go for space over drop-resistance and speed. I know Head-Case has a number of users who are experienced at maxing out the HDDs in older Macs, and I'm hoping you all can help.

Hey Head-Case, it's time for a little role reversal. I need YOU to give ME some photography advice. Where is the best place to buy a Canon S95? Also, I've read in this thread about 3rd party grips for it. I have giant man paws, and it is my understanding the S95 is tough to use with big hands. How much does the grip help?

So does that mean there are now two iterations of the T50P? Are they marked differently? I hope so, or that's a nasty opportunity for bait and switch scams.
