  1. I'd prefere to wait with people paying until we get firm quotes and are ready to make the order. Shipping depends on your individual preferences. Some wants tracking/sign-off, others don't care and go for regular mail. 1kg for Taiwan using UPS is ~55USD, regular mail is ~15USD. So far there has been no loss of packages using either service ( ~100 packages in total for the past three group buys). A few packages was on its way for weeks before showing up using regular mail, but that is about it.
  2. when ever we get to that point, yes you can use Paypal. As for your order, putting it in the sheet is adequate. For now we are probing interest, the drill is like: Probe interest, people state their orders in the sheet getting quotes people confirm their order by paying using Paypal the order is placed When I and @mwl168 get the boards we ship to the participants and add shipping cost (mwl168 ships US/Canada, I do outside gods own country to keep shipping low) after some weeks boards are in various hands Fair point and hereby changed. The golden Reference Low Voltage will be the split board version (the number in that column will comprise a set (left + right).
  3. I bet the PSU will work if you put it back in ... what kind of solder and iron are you using?
  4. how does it test out of circuit?
  5. if you want Ludwig van as doorbell chime, I'd suggest you go for the first bars of the scherzo from the ninth rather ...it also has a nice reference to Kubrick, approving the right and doing the wrong
  6. @mypasswordis not aquatint with Stocastichausen ... some years ago I got hold of a box set 62 CDs called Electroacoustic history ...although it didn't contain anything Else Marie Pade (died january this year), it's an interesting box ... quite like Pierre Henry's "variations pour une porte et un soupir" which I re-discovered as I actually had that already ;o) I transcribed 4'33" into Es ...as most great works are in Es or parallel c for some reason ... The main character in A Clockwork Orange calls Beethoven by his first: Ludwig van ... so do I, when ever I'm in that mood ;o) BTW my Iphone is setup to use Webern Op.10, nr.4 as ringing tone ...no one else seems to have that one, for some reason ;o)
  7. @jose Thanks buddy, but please state your interest here :o) @Tinkerer @chiguy Circlotron Output board v2 and HV900 added to the mix.
  8. did you test the KSC5026 out of circuit?
  9. How I feel about Cage? well, apart from having played his 4'33" on the piano and transcribed it for guitar (not quite as challenging as I assumed), I haven't found much of interest from Cage ... probably a short comming of mine ;o) Stockhausen being popular? well, in the sense that two of the dudes from Kraftwerk did take lessons from Karlheinz yes, otherwise no. Karlheinz always did his own thing and didn't seem to care much for being popular. He is probably more important as an influence rather actually ....
  10. I'm sure Karlheinz is known in 100 years from now ...not so sure about Cage though ;o)
  11. Wolfgang did receive numerous heated letters from his father. Cage? has he made anything of interest? thought he spend most of his time preparing various pianos with nuts and bolts ... in the list of dudes one might mention Wagner, Bruckner and Nielsen as well ;o) Karlheinz Stochastic?
  12. typing a keyboard also might spell problems ...
  13. and not different in any way ... you can consider yours as a V6.0 Carbon
  14. sure, if that is what ever people wants. The functionality is the same as Skinny's, only the dimension is different. FAT doesn't fit 2U upright, whereas Skinny does. Yes, both LEFT and RIGHT is in the GB. You only reference the LEFT
  15. you are right, the Carbon boards are v6 ....but since we are in July I thought why not call the Group Buy V7.0 ;o)
  16. Another round of Carbon etc. state your interest here When ever there are enough boards for ordering participants will be asked to pay estimated price. Shipping will be added whenever the cost is known. Boards from PCBNet. Distribution via @mwl168 in US/Canada, and from Denmark, Europe for the remainder. /S
  17. @Arthrimus Turned out that @congo5 had some boards he wanted to depart from and those are now distributed. Let me open another round and include Carbon boards, HV PSU and GR LV. Have got quite a few request for more Carbon boards, so we might probe if there are still interest. Will open a new thread in an hour or so...
  18. Ground Grid Group Buy closed, the sheet is view only by now
  19. No, you are not aware - you probably be better off having someone with proper skills to do the adjustment. But you still need to make sure your builder choose resistor values that makes it possible to adjust for the range you want.
  20. I guess you are referring to the utterly pile of crap some calls the Carbon, but is massively different from a real Carbon ... which, as far as I know, doesn't feature the cascode
  21. with all its merits I wonder why the cascoded CCS doesn't find its way to the magic Carbon CC ... so the amp with feedback will have less current for the load ... I just tried about the same simulation using a KGSShv in LTSpice ... seems like I get result somehow similar to yours
  22. shouldn't the current I(R14) or is it I(R34) and I(20) be added to the current requirement?
  23. @kevin gilmore combine in Adobe CS?
  24. you might ask the builder to check whether the tail trimmer and CCS trimmers will make you able to adjust to the currents you want ...
  25. fill in your order here
