Yep, it was a lot of fun looking for a tube with the right* gain for this position.
*For us, of course.

Yesterday, after three years of regular use (from 2018 to now) I measured some voltages for check how my Megatron aged.
It is very nice to see that the voltages are still similar to that I did as a reference once finished it. The EL34´s glass have gotten a bit darker with use but otherwise my "baby" is perfect.
As an anecdotal detail, my preferred valve for the first stage is still E180CC.

I have gotten Shimano adapters for the new style of calipers (flat mount) and have had to modify (with sandpaper and dremel) the rear adapter. I think I can place it these days.

I have some books waiting for me.
This year will be very, very long again.
I'm reading the book about SR71. IMO one of the most beautiful planes in the world. I have been lucky enough to see it twice (and a F14A and others) on the deck of the Intrepid (NY).- 3

I think that in a few days I will be able to start working on my Biachi. I have to check the rear brake mount. I think it only supports 140mm Disc/calipers and I use 160mm on both wheels.

In my case and with the combat simulator with which I fly, the resources of a 3070 could remain "just" for VR. That is why I am looking for something like the 2080TI (11G Vram).

I read Anandtech's guide to the new Z590 motherboards (some of which are more than $1,100) and said a big nope to building a new box.

It's crazy.
I don't do design work, rendering ... so honestly I live very happy with my old motherboards with the third generation Z77 and the 3770K. I only need a GPU with 11g Vram to move DCS with VR fluently.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes again
Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need of some stranger's hand
In a desperate land?I love the guitar intro.... in "Apocalipsis Now" It is a work of art

I have been looking for a new GPU for a month (I´m thinking in a 2080TI or 3080). After seeing new and pre-owned prices and Nvidia's lack of new stock I realized that I should have invested my savings in graphic cards.... 🥵
I think I'll keep my current 1070 for a while.

This thread has gone far too quiet. I converted the Genius to 27.5 mode for the winter so I could run as fat a tire as possible. I'm currently testing a pair of 45NRTH Wraithchild studded 27.5x3.0 tires. Today's ride, before the impending Christmas monsoon, was a success. Now to decide if dropping 4 bills on tires is worth it.
Wow!!!!!

It is a pity this kind of news. I have always thought that Senn sells products with an excellent quality/price ratio. I still remember when Antonio recommended the HD600 to me back in 2008...
