I was only going to stay one night to economize but I can't miss this party. So I'll come up on Friday and attend the festivities. -

Kind of? I was dragging all day Saturday and then collapsed in my bed at 8 pm, missing the live concert.
I slept almost straight through until 9 am. I really needed the sleep.I'll rest up better for this meet. What are we doing Saturday night?

Unless it gets sold in the meantime, Todd has agreed to send the TTVJ 307A amp to the meet. I guess we have to hope for the economy to keep sucking for a couple more weeks!

Electric RC helicopter for my Dad.

He's 89 years old. I got him a cheapo helicopter for his birthday to see how he would handle it. He did great, so I "upgraded" him for Father's Day! This will be more challenging.

finally scrounged up enough money to replace the running springs haley PLC i sold 18 months ago. i was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in sound quality. the music has become much more full-bodied, and the bass has become really punchy. atmosphere's new album finally sounds right to my ears.

I feel your pain mate, even if I only have 2 balanced headphones sitting idle.
Not having a balanced amp is no reason to not be able to listen to balanced headphones. All one has to do is get or build an XLR to 1/4" (or 1/8") adapter. That's what I use to listen to my pair of balanced HP2's being driven by an SP Extreme.

I'm afraid that the Raptor is not a well liked amp on this forum. In fact, it is often referred to as the cRaptor. So you'll probably not get an answer to your question, if there is a good answer. Sorry.

I guess that I'm just lucky. I can wear my K340s for hours with no problems. They aren't really comfy, but cause no comfort problems for me.

I completed half of the markl mod on my D2000. Basically stuffed the earpads and added Dynamat to the back of the earcup. I'll do the rest of the mods tomorrow.
So they are a little better than R5's now, right?
