It pretty normal for around here. It’s a 5 ton/60,000 btu.
Yeah that’s normal. I think we have two 3.5 ton for a split level 2,400 sq ft place and a single 5 ton for a single level. Glad you are staying 😎

I'm from the old days, when we just let our "CDs" go wild. Before we even had a term for Metrosexuals. All of the "CD" grooming just seems a bit ridiculous. Sure, I've had a few "CD" strands get caught in my teeth now and then, but I didn't whine about it. I just persisted 'til the task was finished.
And trust me when I tell you that I've definitely known some over shaved CDs in my day. There aren't enough sequins in the world to cover that kind of shaving rash!
That was the beauty of the minidisc. You do have the slide the cover over to access the slit, but eventually you get experienced and it happens naturally when you insert it.

I am looking for some sort of quick release system that I can use to move a wireless throttle over to the other side of the boat. The base would maybe be strapped on around grey mesh wing in the picture. Ideally I would have two bases and then disengage the plate and move it over. On the bottom of the throttle there are two female threaded inserts to attach it. This needs to be pretty sturdy in case the boat tips and pretty easy to disconnect.
Any ideas what I might be able to repurpose?

Seriously, what year did we build those? You've had them for some time now.
This will be their 10 year anniversary!

Cool! I didn’t realize there was a 3d version of the HC logo… cool!

I don't have any experience building in metal.
But I am exploring quality indoor griddles.
The real key to this dilemma is to make Al believe that he needs a Blackstone grill.
I am a big fan! The one thing I didn’t think would be amazing - burgers. But they are.

Do any of the chainsaw blade sharpening jigs work at all, or just keep buying new chains whenever you happen to find a bullet lodged in a tree 🤦♂️

Ok played with the Niche Zero. Pretty amazing so far. Does it really need a calibration or can I just use it out of the box? So what setting should I try first for the aeropress - will do my best to get the thing right side up

I almost always do 15:1 or 16:1 with pour over. 17 is pretty long.

I typically adjust my grind to get a specific draw-down time with the Hario tabbed filters for a certain starting weight. This approach seems pretty good for me. I think I start with 23g and shoot for a grind that ends up around 2:30-3:00.

Was their ice cream as good as Marble Slab's?

I think that matches my experience too - I am not sure the other direction is as obvious (have a V60 and pick up a Chemex)

Thanks! I generally seem to prefer the smaller output of the V60 versus the Chemex. It seems to me to always produce a better cup, but not sure why that is. If I preferred the Chemex and wanted more output I probably would try something like the Ratio, but worried the 6 or 8 won’t do as well with single cup brew volumes.

Hi! I'm looking for a CPLD that doesn't seem to be easily found, so perhaps would take a risk on a sketchy seller:
ATF1502ASV-15AU44 or maybe ATF1504ASV-15AU44 or ATF1504ASVL-20AU44 (or other subs?)
I'd like 3.

Bought this right before I left the country for a month and excited to try it this morning!
thinking about moving past my aeropress and v60 setups to something else.. looking for suggestions! I will continue to use the v60 with my Baratza V+ grinder but it just doesn’t really work well for the aeropress. I probably will move that combo out to the lake and pickup a niche grinder… I am not sure what past that but would love a recommendation or three

with medium or darker roasts that are not depicted as “sweet” or “fruity”, generally speaking.
I am curious, do you prefer the sweet or fruity descriptions in pour over coffee?

I have tried a new Aeropress approach. 18g in the Niche and then 200g water (no bloom, just all in). Stir, brew for a minute, stir and attempt to plunge for a minute (but realistically 30 seconds). So far my best go.
