  1. Anyone have PCBs available for Dynalo Mk2 version 9? Also interested in some GRLV boards but not super important. Otherwise I need some advice producing PCBs. My plan is to use EasyEDA. After looking at this zip file; gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/boards/kgdynalobal9.zip I see that there is a side board for surface mount components. I am fine going with the THAT340 chip so I don't need this. If I only need the main board do I just submit the file as-is, but leave special instructions? Or do I need to edit the gerber to exclude the side board? What dimensions should I give? My planned specs are with 2oz copper and 1.6mm thickness.
  2. I meant their price totals, not the total number of boards.
  3. Sent It looks like the spreadsheet has a bug in it. People ordering circlotron boards have totals of zero.
  4. Just registered my interest for the GRLV boards. This is my first time doing this. Are we suppose to have some sort of established reputation first before participating? Is this only for US shipping or is shipping to Europe okay?
  5. I made a list on mouser.com for parts of the amp boards alone. I included both the 240 ohm and 255 ohm resistors but you could easily remove one. The only thing I don't have are the terminal blocks. Anyone know which blocks I should use? kgssdynalobal9 - 2 channels I noticed that most amps that are class A have a lot of heatsinks but this one doesn't seem to really need them. It is because the current is distributed among several transistors which spreads out the heat more efficiently without the need for heatsinking?
  6. Okay, it's nice to know I can go down to 20VAC. I am thinking of using a 50VA 2 x 22V antek transformer. http://www.antekinc.com/as-0522-50va-22v-transformer/ It says the current is 1.1A at 22V but the datasheet they have says it can go to 3A under differing loads so I am not too concerned about current handling. If I am cutting it too close on the current I could go to the 100VA version but that seems to be overkill. For the boards I see there is a goldenreference6 single board and a goldenreference7 dual board. Is there any particular advantage to using dual boards vs a single board?
  7. I am looking at kgdynalobal5 and kgdynalobal9. Version 9 looks like an SMD version and version 5 is a through-hole version. Was the SMD version developed because parts are scarce for the through-hole version? Do I assume that performance is nearly identical for both versions?
  8. I'd like to build the +/-20V version for a Dynalo mk2. What range of transformer voltages would work for this power supply? The silk screen says 25V-0V-25V however 24V is much more common for transformers. Is there a reason why 2x24V wouldn't work for this build?
  9. Just joined this site specifically because of this amp. This project simply looks awesome. I would really like to build the mini version with SMPS but I don't trust myself to solder surface mount components yet so I'll probably end up doing the original version that started this thread. I have a couple questions. Is there any measurements posted for this amp? Is there a performance hit when using the Dynalo SuSy in a single ended configuration vs a basic Dynalo?
