Trying to choose a Dynamo headlight. I have kind of narrowed it down to one of three. Busch and Muller Luxos U with the sweet USB charger port. The Schmidt Edelux II Or the Supernova I am thinking Ari might be the only one with a Dynamo but I figured I would poll the masses to see if anyone has any experience with any of these or others. I am using a Schmidt Son 28 dynamo hub.

Egg white, spinach and pesto breakfast bowl from the Protein Bar. Really enjoying this healthier restaurant in the neighborhood. Sent from my nerd phone using Tapatalk

That is an awesome pic, I hope to actually get to see that bike some day.

Really was a great ride at a pretty good pace. I set 77 PRs this trip. Chris went and put on heavier wheels since we last rode and has mad cow disease or something and I still could not keep up with him.

I am up for Sunday. Sent from my nerd phone using Tapatalk

That was quick Dusty. Is it still in my neighborhood? Sent from my nerd phone using Tapatalk

Rock Creek Park in MD/DC I believe.

Justin, you can crash at my house. I have one extra bedroom that hasn't been given away to the hobbies.

Juan and I just finished our 28 mile Maryland/DC ride. Awesome ride. You travel team guys need to make it up here for this ride.
-
That is quite possible. What time do you plan to ride?
-
Yeah I am wishing I had driven down for the ride Chris. Hip seems to be fine now so I am hoping the shift on the seat was enough to keep it from coming back. I really need to get a good ride in as I am far from cycling shape at this point.

The 20 miles looks fun, the 100 in 110+ degree Florida looks outrageously terrible. I went on my first bike grocery run to the farmers market and picked up a cheap Giro helmet for the commute bike.
-
Yeah, thinking I need to do some setup testing on the commute bike today. Slid the seat a bit forward as I think it is high enough. It was set back pretty far and this one has a longer top tube than my road bikes. I am liking the Brooks Cambium saddle so far. Fairly comfortable and not much slipping around on pedaling which was my concern as it did not seem to be very grippy. I came really close to buying some shimano tennis shoes with SPD cleats built in as I feel weird not being clipped in but that would get me back to the point where I would be better off commuting with one of my real bikes as I will still need to change shoes. I wonder if I could get Alden to make me some shoes with recessed SPD cleats.

I have a session with the trainer this afternoon and a pretty sore left hip so I think I am going to avoid a long ride today.

I have been up in the 190s for extended time on rides back in the day but the last time mine actually worked I stayed below 180. I really found that 30-45 minutes close to 200 was nothing for me but I guess I am in slightly better shape now. I am thinking I need to work on the fit of the new bike as my hip is really sore now.

Turns out the Spot weighs in at 27 pounds 11 oz with rack, lights and fenders on. With the crazy Kryptonite locks and bag I would guess it goes up to around 127 lbs.

I might be up for a drive down there.

I am around all weekend. I know Ben said he is doing some crazy long ride tomorrow that I would need a car for but he might be interested in something today or Monday if it happens.
-
What/where are you thinking Justin?

Got the Calfee all cleaned and prepped for a ride tomorrow. Any of the locals riding tomorrow?

Maybe you can try something like this With one of its numerous accessories Then you certainly wouldn't look goofy.

The 1000 does look nice but I have been fighting so much with my Garmin gear lately, (stripped out the tiny screws on my HR monitor strap, batteries dead on everything I pick up, Garmin in the car keeps taking me off highways only to tell me to get right back on at the next entrance or directs me to take surface streets right next to an empty highway for miles and miles) that I will definitely wait a bit. I am looking for a less racer helmet to wear for the commute. I kind of like the looks of the POC Octal that Garmin Sharp uses but I have read they do not work well with sunglasses. Anyone have recommendations for a less-spaceship looking helmet than my S-Works Prevails?

The price for the 800 package is pretty great if you need all of that stuff
-
Yeah, that is kind of what I have in mind.
