  1. Why? I mean, I understand there are minor differences (the non proprietary phonejack probably being the most likely to be a deal-killer to people of this site), but it's not as major as between the first and second generation iPhones, with the 3G. You really need that mic input?

That said, no money, I understand, and can relate to, completely.

  2. So I picked up the ipod touch, since my ipod is dead and I stupidly missed out on getting an iphone from my work (am getting a blackjack instead) :palm:

    Thanks, Dusty.

Hooray! I wasn't sure there was anyone here who was in the market for an iTouch that didn't already have one, but I still thought it was worth posting.
  3. Anyone know what Super High Material is? Does it mean compressed to audio death, or is it actually a good thing?

    Houses of the Holy

Oh, and you can keep your "early Pink Floyd" and "Flaming Lips" and the like jokes to yourselves. Bwa-ha, very funny, so funny I forgot to laugh. Yeah, why don't you marry yourself. Ew, that's disgusting.

  4. At least. It'd be a fun exercise to go through and add up how many minutes of watching that is. E.G.

Legend of the Twilight -- 300 minutes

    Berserk -- 623 minutes

    Megazone 23 -- 255 minutes

    Naughty Nurses -- 60 minutes

Neon Genesis Evangelion -- 650 minutes

Amazing Nurse Nanako -- 180 minutes

    Silent Mobius -- 650 minutes

    ...

    etc.

...or should we just assume an average of...say, 333 minutes each? ...x28 ~= 10,000 minutes of anime?

  5. cj,

until further notice don't use anything other than inexpensive tubes in the output positions. Also, I'm not convinced the tubes are dead, we should try to get them into a known good amp or at least tested to see.

I second both of these -- you need to figure out the problem with your amp, fix it and test it with known good tubes -- new production is fine -- and then once you fix the amp, check your extant tubes to see if they're really broken.
