  1. Well, at any rate.... If anyone ever needs a couch to crash for the night at Northwestern University, please feel free to contact me. I, for one, would be VERY interested in meet where everyone can go and getting one of the rooms in Norris or Tech could work splendidly.
  2. A large part of my weight right now is because of a medical issue that has only recently passed. If you want to now more about it - then PM me because that is not going to be discussed in public. sorry.
  3. This is not directed at you jp. Just wondering how much introspection some of the posters in this thread have about their own actions... How would they react in this sort of situation? In retrospect, there have been things said that were mis-informed, brash, and just a plain "WTF?" reaction even from myself. Sometimes, I have a hard time describing things as well. Another thing is that my failures are not posted and I have a problem of admitting when I am wrong. Tried to change it, but when you are online - it is that much harder to write it down. It is about as close of a formal apology as can be mustered right now. I got excited when things really got working well and posted some of it. When someone asked how to make it themselves, just told them what I did and how I did it.
  4. I understand that you feel that way, but I am just wondering how a bunch of people bashing me would warrant a ban? I didn't ask for this thread or the attention. It was brought upon me and I have tried to bear it with a smile. If people get it out of their system, all the better. Did I name call? Just because I may see things differently does not mean that I am some aweful person. I did join to set the record straight and then got bullied into revealing a project that was still not done. Personally, I would have preferred anonymity and it was the way that I had browsed in the past. The wealth of information here is much more concise and doesn't involve filtering through a hundred "I have $100, reccomend me something" threads.
  5. I am living in on-campus apartments this year. Last year, I used one of the engineering labs wth the permission of the professor in charge of that lab. The dorms were far too dismal for me to spend any large amount of time in there. This summer, I have been using the work benches in the basement office. It is a fitted workstation wth built-in cabinets, drawers, tool racks, etc. I have a workstation during the school year which is a set of drawers filled with supplies on rollers and a work table that is appx 1M x 0.5M where I normally house my soldering station, heat gun, and other electric tools (dremel, etc.). It didn't get much use last year because I mostly used the engineering labs as they had better facilities and fewer distractions. Please do not insult my friends. They both work co-ops doing work for well known companies (one doing balistics analysis, the other in FPGA/circuit design and are good at what they do).
  6. Wow - all you are proving is just how much you don't know.
  7. I am not the one who put that up there. Sorry.
  8. I realize you guys hate me - and you are free to. I have stuff currently being tested by some respected members of the audio community that are not so blinded by their personal feelings. Please be patient and wait to see what they think. Just because you don't like me doesn't mean that the product sucks. I went through way too many prototypes to put out the stuff that sucks. The website is a work in progress - please remember that.
  9. I purge the leaves by running them under some cool water first. "hot" is according to the instruction based on the tea. Besides, I never cared for Burgamot. Even when I do get Darjeelings and Assam teas, I usually brew them lighter than most people would. Though, this is not observed when dealing with the first flush which has a refined oolong taste (technically it is an oolong).
  10. I joined to sort of set the record straight. I also think that it is good to bash people in person - rather than where you think that they are not looking.
  11. They sell loose leaf tea You measure the amount of tea, put t into the filter. Then you put hot water into the cup, then the filter into the cup with the lid on the filter. and tea looks like this *japanese sencha*
  12. I don't know how much you are into tea - but Tea Gschwendner makes some lovely varieties. Be careful though - because you could end up buying $100 or more in tea at a time.
