Tweeter on speaker not working

Shit, I forgot to pay attention before snipping. The only difference between the two sides of the tweeter is a red stripe with a sharpie. On the other tweeter, that is connected to the red wire.

I am not sure the pictures will help very much. The tweeter looks rather generic. I also took a picture of the crossover.

I'll try sending an email to Sean to see if he knows of a replacement (and whether I need to replace both).

interestingly enough, red wires don't always go to the positive tab on drivers. Glad you have the other one to look :)

@Todd: Thanks for the tip. I emailed Sean and he thinks he has extra original tweeters and will ship one to me for not much more than shipping. He also mentioned that Danny at GR Research sells the upgrade tweeter/crossover they used to make the Encore version of the speaker. I may see about getting this when I have more time to do this upgrade. Thinking of maybe using these in the bedroom or office.

Sean and Danny are friendly guys. I had to recently contact each of them looking for grills for my AV123 X-Statik, since without them the WAF is poor. Neither had the grills, but Sean suggested someone who might be able to make some.

Glad things seem to be working out Shelly. Yes, Larry, Sean is good people (I've e-chatted with him some), and I've heard Danny is indeed great too.
