What are your preferred RCA connectors? I'm thinking about buying some good bang for the buck connectors and looking for opinions. No strict budget. Will need a total of 8.

bang for buck? the canare F10 is my favorite for a good quality plug, while not breaking the wallet.

My personal favorite is the Neutrik Pro-fi.

If I had to use a Canare plug I'd choose the F-09, I prefer its form factor to the F-10, specifically the enclosed ground connection.

I have no idea who makes these things, but these are the ones I use.

They are a generic plug, I believe. Redco sells them, as do many other places, and call them 'house' connectors.

The Canare "slinky" always turned me off, strictly from an aesthetics point of view. I might have to grab some Profis.

you don't have to use the "slinky." a little heatshrink should be adequate strain relief.

My favorite trick, when not using the slinky is to shrink around the clamp at the back of the RCA to create a strain relief. This also works very nicely with Cardas 1/4" TRS plugs that otherwise have no strain relief. Of course you could always cover the slinky in shrink if you wanted.
