Dampening the back of a Grado driver?

I've been thinking about opening the earcups of the MS1i and dampening the back of the drivers like Grado does with it's higher end cans presumably to eliminate any resonance that might occur in the metal back that houses the magnet. The only thing is that I'm not to sure what material I should use. Does anybody here have any experience with doing anything like this? If not I'll probably just use a little bit of silicon gel.

While I was in the hospital I had the doctor haruspicate using my bowels, there is a perfectly good reason why I had them removed.

I don't know if you put your cans back together yet, but I used Dynamat Extreme on mine. I pulled off the Foil on both sides and used the "Tar" as a flat blob on the back of the driver. I'll send you some if you still want to damp em'
