March 1, 201016 yr A couple of days ago I received an Eee PC 1005PE which is doing a fine job of feeding Apple Lossless files from iTunes to an external DAC via USB. Next I will up the RAM to 2 gB. So far very satisfied.
March 1, 201016 yr Glad to hear you're enjoying it, I use mine near nightly as the music server for my SB3. It'll also more than pay for itself the next time you travel, mine was indispensable on a recent trip.
