  3. What are you driving your K1000 with?

    Guys, what would you say is overkill for power with a K1K? A week from tomorrow I am going to take delivery of a 200wpc (@8ohms) Nak PA-7 power amp and can't help but be interested in seeing what happens with a K1K connected to the posts. Is the idea just a little too ridiculous?

    I used Conrad Johnson Premeir 12 140 watt monoblocks with My K1000s with great results.

    So i've been dealing with fischerusa for the last 6 weeks. i agreed to make a

    he60 to he90 plug so that one person can use his he60's on a hev90. 5 weeks

    later after promising the male connector in 1 week or less, i'm back on the

    waiting list from the factory, 12 weeks for one fucking connector. And two

    of the sales people i've been dealing with in that time have "left the company"

    and the purchase order keeps getting dumped in the bit bucket.

    What a way to run a company.

    Why just not just call Senn Usa & order a HE90 cable with the connector atttached.(ask for Dwight Stevens in the parts department) You can cut the cable to add the HE60 adapter to the cable.

    Paul McCartney at Citifield last night.

    Great concert the man still got it.

    Last time I saw him was at Shea stadium in 1965 Beatles concert,sound Quality was much better this time around,but no other concert I have ever seen is more memorable then the 65 concert with the 56,000 screaning fans.

    The voice cables where at the past NY meet last DEC in Harrison.

    I listened to the hd650 not knowing price it sounded very good,but it was in a very HIend system.

    The cotton covering completey turned me off,I could invision this cable after a while just getting dirty looking, at normal cable pricing that was enough

    for me not to even consider the cable,let alone $1400.00.

    You wouldn't happen to have a model # or pic by chance, would you? I plan on going there in a bit, but would be helpful to their staff if I could give them some kind of direction.

    This is the one I found from Lowes for $30:

    The pelican is about 2x as much though.

    I looked online at lowes & home depot & didn't see it listed anymore.

    It looks more like the pelican case only deeper.

    Ok it's final my hum issue is solved!!!!!!

    Turned out to be a combination of the cable and the ps3. With the cable box disconnected from the tv and the ps3 using a cheater plug it's now dead quiet.

    Until I figure out a way to solve the cable issue I'll just have to remember to disconnect it from the TV anytime I want to watch a movie or game. Not a big deal.

    A cheap fix for your cable problem,get 2- 75ohm to 300 ohm adapters at radioshack. Connect the 2 -300 ohm wires from each adapter together & insert the adapters in your incoming cable before your cable box.

    Basically you are converting your 75 ohm cable to 300ohm back to 75ohm by doing this. I got this tip from a cable tech & it works.

    There are some high end adapters that do the same thing I beleive Madigral(Levinson made one year back) for about 100 bucks.
