ok my new senn 650s certainly do not sound the same as my old pair. same zu mobius balanced, same woodies. much less bass...more treble. burn in? new pads? or is that the wolff tuning pads?

i am pulling off a srajan ebaens - no more crazy expensive cables. my rig is pretty much all zu'ed up now heh.

umm i just got some carbon/steel/corian pads from mike wolff for my minidac. placebo, snakeoil or not, i don't know, but they seem to quiet down the background a bit, and the sibilance seems to be weaker now.

they do sound bloated out of anything but gilmore and meier amps. but when balanced...OMG the bass rocks my little world.

k271s are pretty good for that. i use them when i am around the campus and i am in minnesota.
