I've been listening to a lot of 80's Ska ever since Terry hall passed away.... Indeed great to see the "originals" that inspired so much great music in that era. Thanks Doug!

Hadn't used the term for years, but one of my oldest friends was a fan, not SO much of all of Gordon's work, but of "Rainy Day People." Years later, his brother passed away WAY too young from cancer, and in my stupidity of not knowing what to say, I avoided talking with him.
It took a while, but I finally did connect; he was understandably hurt. I profusely apologized, and said later that I wanted to be one of his Rainy Day People, he meant that much to me and my family. He did forgive me, we both shed some tears that night, and we of course are still close to this day.

Tracey's voice has definitely "aged" - not necessarily in a bad way. Their new album Fuse is pretty nice, they kept going with the modern sound and it's quite good (as much as I loved their more ballad-like songs).

I have no good advice to give....but my gut tells me YOUR gut instinct is a good one. If there's a way to be a "Gay Mentor" I'd say maybe try to do that.... But that's just a random thought.

Agreed, Craig. I used to love to pour through my dad's copies of Mad....
To this day, I still remember one cartoon that I repeated to my son. A kid is bugging his dad and keeps saying something like, "Dad lookit....lookit what I'm doing....lookit, lookit, lookit....!" And the dad then retorts, "I'm lookiting!!"
Don't know why that stuck with me, but I still use it occasionally.....
