  6. Thanks everyone for the kind words and thoughts.

    Talked to my brother today. Turns out he (Bones) didn't have life insurance, nor any preplanned funeral arrangements. Turns out it's going to be 4500$ to have him cremated, and none of us are able to swing it. This sucks, because it's just putting more and more stress on my mom.

    I can't even fly back to be with her right now since hurt my back a month ago and can barely walk some days, much less travel across the country. Glad I was able to go out a few months ago, but hate I can't be there now. (

  7. RIP Dale Jones, aka Bones, aka my mom's husband. He had been dealing with dementia and was moved to a nursing facility the day before.

    We knew it was coming but she has lost her brother, sister in law, a close cousin, and now Bones, all in the past few years. Not many people left in the family and it's tough for her.

  13. Hah! Love the cakes, memes, biscuit-related nonsense, and the well wishes. Actually made me smile.

    I actually didn't have a biscuit; I've only had 1 biscuit (when I was in Chattanooga last month), where they can actually make them.

    Going to go watch The Devil Wears Prada 2 (and/or Obsession) tomorrow, and perhaps have a meal or something. Today, the dogs have made sure to be extra handsome and/or beautiful and/or cute today to celebrate, which is always a delight.

    Pretty much the perfect pop song in my jaded opinion.

    This is a bummer. CAKE is one of my favorite bands over the years, and I've seen them in concert a few times, including the night before I flew out for RMAF 2019, which was the last time I saw a lot of d-_-b in person before COVID.

    Like, I never really cared about owning a house, but they always give away a tree to someone in the audience to plant. If I had my own place, I could snag one of those. That would be a cool story, and it couldn't happen had it not been for Greg.

    RIP to the writer of my default karaoke song.
