  1. paypal will work just fine - read the previous page of this thread to see what the issue was with prepayments. once Lil' Knight has calculated the shipping costs, we can resend our payments
  2. no one wants to produce them, and they wouldn't work for the pessante case anyway
  3. since I do not fully (read: at all) understand how the amp works, can anyone explain the specs required for the 5pf cap? 200v are impossible to come by anywhere on the web, so far as i can tell. better yet, a link to an in-stock alternative would be fantastic
  4. if you missed out, I ordered an extra set that I almost assuredly won't be using (i only got it in case I somehow managed to break the first board). it's yours
  5. is the LED in any way used for biasing, or simply for indication? if there is a required spec, what is it? also, the amp lists the 180 ohm resistors twice (mouser 660-MF1/2CC1820F) are the 1N914 diodes missing from the BOM, or are my gerber files really old?
  6. Shouldn't we use terminal blocks on the amp boards? Or are we supposed to solder those directly to the input/output?
  7. that's my very good friend's wife's name!
  8. it wouldn't let me do it maybe because i'm using firefox 3? either way, it wasn't TOO much of a hassle to manually type in his paypal address
  9. it would make life easier if there was some way to copy/paste your paypal address (just a suggestion)
  10. Andy's experience proves it: the DIYT2 is a straightforward build that will maybe turn up a single error, that can be fixed within a few hours. Clearly, any newbie can tackle one, no sweat! On a more serious note, I can never tire of looking at these beautiful amps. Congrats on your build!
  11. 1) make more than 1 amp 2) just in case you manage to fry it, scorch it, lift traces, snap it in half....
  12. I've never made an umbilical for this kind of voltage... any suggestions on wire? or can I use any old 600v teflon?
  13. but won't the teflon make the sound more neutral, while the gold adds lushness? edit: adding a "" to qualify the statement
  14. I'm sure we'll come up with a nice way to thank him
  15. with the side-mount boards, this can all fit into a single 3U pessante
  16. define standard? I'm going to be using angle brackets, and have plenty room given the boards are 4 inches across edit: oops, you were emphasizing the word "one" - yeah, it definitely requires two boxes
  17. In for 2 sets of the KGSSHV, spreadsheet updated Thanks!
  18. In your estimation, how much more tweaking before have a version worthy of a pcb run that truly satisfies the "any intermediate builder will have no trouble" mantra? I wish I could help by prototyping all these things, but I fall into the "i know how to solder and use a multimeter only" club
  19. you could have warned me, you bastard
