fucking hell... does anyone know a free image site that doesn't suck balls? My ftp is screwed... flickr doesn't seem to recognize the yahoo id it asked me to create... and I can't figure out how to upload to deviantart. Maybe quitting smoking was a bad idea? It seems to have made me retarded. As a side note, my computer seems to be double clicking everything all the time. You'd think that a 'systems administrator' could fix such a problem. You'd be wrong.

My first turntable. My girlfriend got me a vintage marantz receiver for xmas, so I figured what the hell. I think I might have made a mistake as it sounds unreasonably good for what I paid. Time to go buy some vinyl. Pics tomorrow at the latest. I'm sort of surprised at how good it sounds given the table is 15 years older than I am...

An iPod Classic 120GB, black. Loving it so far with apple lossless and Jays dJay canalphones. Genius is cool and Coverflow is neat. Sounds quite a bit better than my old Archos and doesn't have a faulty headphone jack, which is a bonus.

Cool, I didn't expect they were different sonically. Not a bad thing either, as they don't do much wrong. Mike - I've always thought that Aura unit was pretty slick myself. Not willing to shell out that much money for something that dinky at this point though.

Same here, though that was the first time I heard the HE90 as well... so it wasn't my only audiophile memory. Something weird about that amp though. It wasn't the greatest match for the K340's unfortunately, and it actually made the HD600/650's sound good! Bizarre. Figured as much. You've heard them yourself then?

Any different than the K271 Studio? I've been considering getting them... no reason really, except that they're fucking hot.

The output stage in my CD player is pretty near identical to the passive one on that site. Sounds good to me.

Thanks guys!!! [and Vickie] I had a great weekend. Key lim... my girlfriend, Rachel, completely spoiled me. We had 12 people over for a birthday party in the oh so swank party room in my building on Saturday. Rachel made us a host of fantastic dishes, the beef tenderloin with a blue cheese sauce being my personal favourite. Lots of good wine of course, and I even picked up a couple six packs of dogfishhead to spread the love. I've finally heard Maria Callas, as Rachel got me Diva as one of my birthday gifts. What a voice. I haven't listened to the Sutherland/Pavarotti La Traviata yet, but I'm looking forward to it. Oh, and she got me Rock Band. I suck at it. I'll do you one better. I'm drinking whiskey directly from my new rhinestone belt buckle flask that my buddy Joe got for me! Not sure if I'll start wearing it on a regular basis, but it certainly provokes an interesting response. LOL It is hard to stay up to date on here since I can't access Head-Case from work. I can get to the 'Fi no problem as they have their secure server enabled... so I just go to HTTPS://head-fi.org --- When I try that here, I just get a message telling me that 'The HTTP service is functioning correctly.' That makes me feel swell and everything, but I'd rather be able to browse and post in the forums. EDIT: I love how the crazy dog smiley is named 'reksy'.
