  1. Please describe in no less than 498.5 and no more than 498.9 words why you believe that statement is true. Thank you.
  2. Just wikied MPC and your answer is closer to being correct than mine, at least under the US/common law system. Well, never a bad opportuninty to brush-up on something I have no use of. That was suppose to be a "tree in the forest" joke - I guess meaning lost in the intraweb traffic. BTW, you sound like a douche law student.
  3. uh, I think "willfully" generally means "of his own volition," as in KG held a pen and wrote "audio tape device" all by himself. On the other hand, "not of his own volition" would require, for example, the jerk holding KG from behind with one hand and guiding KG's hand with his other hand to write those words (preferbally KG should be passed-out from some intoxication).
  4. Can you really commit fraud when the person (in this case the USPS) didn't know (and probably will never know) he/it was being defrauded? And I doubt there is enough here to make this a crime. Can we all get back to more "meehh" impressions?
  5. Been looking at 'gon and notice that there are few Ayre D-1xe on sale at somewhat attractive prices. Right now I use a Linn Klimax DS to feed a speaker system with headphone amps connected via loop out from the preamp using RCA. If I were to get an Ayre player, I would use that as a dedicated source for my headphone amps using the balanced connection, instead of RCA. I have heard Ayre's current line of CDPs, but have not done any comparsion with the Linn (never saw the point). Will I be totally bumbed going from a top Linn to a very old top Ayre? Anyone heard both and can comment?
  6. I believe the digital lens is an add-on for PWD, and not PWT. As for your HD question, you should use a network storage with built-in Upnp server to feed your PWD. I don't know if this sounds better than USB, but it's certainly more flexible. You are not tied down to any one computer and you can add more PWDs or another streamer in the future for multi-room playback.
  7. So, which one did you get? How does it compare to your exsiting dac?
  8. PWD's ipad interface is very functional. I have Linn so I use - - - wait for it - - - ipeng and squeezebox 3. squeezebox plugin for Linn is pure awesome. I can control all my SBs, transporter and Linn using ipeng for ipad, all running off of a server running SB server that's sitting in another room. Everything is connected wirelessly (even the Linn). If I were you, I would give network streaming a chance.
  9. Good choice on the PWD (I presume network card?) - digital streaming is by far the best way to do computer audio (async + no interface timing error + computer not in the listening room). Once you have your UPNP server / controlling point all set up, it would be really easy to migrate to a better digital steamer (Linn Akurate, for example, or MDS-i for a one-box speaker solution - you add the speakers).
  10. Try to get another PSU first. If that doesn't work, what better time than now to upgrade to Touch? Or abandon SBS altogether and go with DLNA solutions (don't know if you have any more SB in your setup)
  11. I understand one of them used to work for Theta and designed the iv conversion and analog stage of Theta V. Thera V was a wonderful dac in it's time and is still a nice dac for the money used. The new dac should sound ok, I think.
  12. My understandings no. I have a coiple of ayres and before I moved from 115v region to a 220v one I called ayre and asked if the local dealer can help with the conversion. The answer was negative. The dealer would have to ship my units back to the factory to get get retrofitted with new transformers. I can't imaging you can't just order one from the nearest or the cheapest dealer and get it air freighted to you. Good luck.
