I just made a 15x15 pourover of the levercraft yemenia qima alchemy. It's definitely NOT my favorite cup ever, but it's pretty interesting. Very floral and bright, without the sharp acidity that usually accompanies light roasts. The aroma, both of the beans and the cup, is fantastic. The body is light, I may go for a higher ratio next time, or maybe even luongo espresso.

It's similar consistency and retention. It definitely doesn't do espresso, tho.

I guess that wasn't quite the right thread. It's not a tv show. Oh well.

by their lineup I'm assuming you mean their intel lineup. Because the m1 laptops are brilliant.

i’ve had dozens of yemeni coffees that were all over the map.

I certainly don't use dark roast for espresso. Concentrated burnt flavor isn't my jam.

I'm looking forward to it. It's certainly more expensive than the best gesha I've had, but I wanted to try it.

Went and camped at the nantahala this weekend. The 2 harder sections that only run a couple times a year were running and water levels were about double normal, so it was something of an event. I got some video of Dane Jackson playing in the nantahala falls, and ran the river sunday.

Why would you go finer, that timing sounds perfect?

most espresso related things have standardized on 58mm, so it's probably not a coincidence. I know the dosing cup with the niche is just under 58mm, so it will match up with a portafilter.

I'm going to be taking the kids with me down the Nantahala on labor day, and in preparation, my youngest has been in a sit in kayak on the lake a few times. Yesterday she decided she was ready to start learning to roll, and pulled it off in her 3rd attempt, and got it twice in a row.

I can say I absolutely adore my '12 VW Touareg hybrid living in this part of Tennessee. There's a curvy isolated road that I'm on regularly that I can maintain the speed limit (55) on, even in the curvy bits that are recommended 25, and if I'm in the mood, I've been known to take a lot of it slightly faster than that.
I also regularly get to drive the dragon, because I have been kayaking regularly on the Nantahala. I'll be taking that drive again tomorrow morning. Nothing like hauling 3 kayaks and keeping up with the flow on 318 curves in 11 miles.- 3

I'm on staff for Otakon, a large-ish anime convention in DC. We were contractually obligated to put on a convention if we were legally able to. So we ended up having to plan and put on a convention with 78 days notice. We had 25,000 attendees, and based on all reports, we did not turn into a super spreader event. We required masks, and didn't ask vaccination status.

That's my "not espresso" grinder, and I'm pretty happy with it. No retention, consistent grind. If it went fine enough for espresso it'd be perfect, but I'm happy with my niche for that.

Definitely not cloying. Very subtle. I'm not a refined enough palate (especially scent) to be much more specific.
