Can you tell me why its a stupid question? I thought cds/pcm data played real time and errors are not corrected during the stream which is why usb cables dont sound the same for playing audio. I can definitely even get a perfect score a/b testing between two usb cables I currently have... having someone else switch the cables around. Anyway, its all good. I just got a belkin gold for now.

ive heard the polestar is really nice. I wonder if its worthy over the cheaper stuff. My 2 usb cables are different sounding and they are both cheap stuff which is why I got interested in getting a decent one. I was a nonbeliever of digital cable sound differences until now.

jailbreak for itouch 2g out yet anyone???

Mine were also the 32 ohm version dt990 2005. The grados are brighter at the lower highs and upper mids making it sound more forward but when starting from around 9kz to 12khz the dt990s are very evil I actually bought them because I heard that they had sparkle which i like but i guess i wasn't ready for this much of it. I guess I like my sparkle to be flat and extended to 20khz like good speakers and not a big spike at the sibilance region.

ive had the dt990s (2005 edition). and the highs are painfully bright. grados are chocolatey smooth in comparison. The 990s made my ears ring after every 5 minutes of use or less depending on the music REPLACE THE CANS

There's something missing IMO with the stax. I'm actually selling them or trading them with k701s plus some other cans or any cool accesories i might be able to use to match my brand new stax's price

The hd600 is something i like more than other cans ive heard so far but they are far from perfect. They even need eq to sound neutral. In some parts, my stax 202 is much more neutral. The comments on the hd800 are really intriguing me. I'm waiting for a few more comments from the first owners before pulling the trigger though.

screw it. i'm going for the hd800s and going for broke on the amp later... I'll sell my volkswagen hehehe. I'll use my glite dps for now and see what it does then treat myself with a headfi (or headcase) approved $4000 amp bwaaahahahahaa

Not really to add bass as much as grabbing it by the balls and giving it speed. People say the hd600s bass basically become ad2000 bass once powered right. wonder if this is hyperbole or the actual truth. That is the one thing I really miss with the ad2000s. The speed and powerful feel with almost any amp. Now if it only had the hd600s mids

What I feel with my hd600 is that the glite doesnt take control of the bass... Many headfiers think this is due to the amp lacking in power compared to a tube amp with lots of voltage for the high impedance cans and not a function of this amp not being a tone control. Do you believe this is the case or have you not heard the glite hd600 pairing?

By the way, asr... When you reviewed the wa6, did you leave the switch at 100 to 600 ohms? You never mentioned switching it back to the low impedance setting

From reading the review, my gilmore lite is looking like a formidable opponent to the wa6. But with my hd600s the glites are a little dry and uninvolving. hmm, I still have yet to see someone with the glite and a good tube amp like the wa6 compare them using the hd600s
