June 22, 201511 yr comment_691721 So I'm taking a 3 week vacation to the Philippines next week and I'd like to be able to stream video from various sources - Netflix, NBC Sports, HBO GO, etc. and I know that there are limitations on streaming these outside the USA. It seems like a VPN is a feasible solution. Any recommendations on which service to use? I don't mind paying for a month and I'm trying to stream via iPad/iPhone and perhaps using my laptop as a backup. Thanks! Report

June 23, 201511 yr comment_691737 Oh, I thought they were but maybe Netflix changed the way they do things since the last time I looked. This implies that you can use Netflix with them. You could always use the free trial or shoot them an email. https://support.unlocator.com/customer/portal/articles/1147679-how-to-setup-ipad Edited June 23, 201511 yr by shellylh Report
June 23, 201511 yr Author comment_691740 Seems like Netflix has some way to detect people using geolocator tricks or VPNs. Better than nothing though, HBO GO and streaming the Tour de France is better than nothing Report
June 23, 201511 yr comment_691746 IIRC you just need to use an american dns with it for netflix to work Report
June 23, 201511 yr comment_691824 I use TunnelBear on both my laptop and phone. $5 a month if I remember correctly. I've not VPN'd to the US but it works well for the UK etc. Report
