February 20, 20188 yr Samsung has unveiled the video studio's dream storage unit. How many would Bad Robot need? https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2018/2/20/17031256/worlds-largest-ssd-drive-samsung-30-terabyte-pm1643
February 20, 20188 yr That's great news. If the price is sensible, a smaller unit could be very high in my computer "need" list
February 20, 20188 yr Dang.....I wonder if you can partition it and do RAID 1 Mirror - that would be great instead of my Synology NAS......otherwise I'd have to buy two
February 20, 20188 yr Author Bear in mind that when I mentioned Bad Robot Studios, I used that as an example of someplace with the unlimited budget to jump on these as they're being released. I think we're talking over $10k while it's on the bleeding edge. But, it will apply downward pressure on the rest of the market. I paid about $700 for a 2T Evo 850 not too long ago and OWC has Micron (Crucial) 2T ssd's on sale for under $400.
