3 computer-controlled precision motors. The Absolute Sound article gushed so much about this table that I became obsessed briefly. The single motor that Rob N has costs about $5K so it is not off the charts. The AC is more like $12-15K.

why hasn't anyone thought of just adding more motors? has to be moar better right? probably all those motor ration cards...

EKG Acoustics will make a six motor TT. Each motor will be large plant size pot diameter. The belt will be enormous. It will cost $200k and will generate so much motor noise that it will replace Michael Fremer's Continuum as the reference.

I've now installed the Benz.The speed is rock solid (better than the Gyro with QC power supply),build is good.I need to 'run in' the Benz to get a better idea of overall sound
