August 23, 200818 yr comment_153383 2 cans rotel tomatos (get the ones that match your taste for the spicy) 1/2 onion, diced tablespoon minced garlic some cilantro, chopped some lemon juice Report
August 24, 200818 yr Author comment_153544 I have failed. My salsa is too spicy for any man and I didn't even put in any habanero. I did put in 6 serranos and 3 jalapenos to a cup and a half of white onion, one avocado, 4 not very big tomatoes, 2 limes, some green onion. (There weren't these crazy rotel tomatoes) Report
August 24, 200818 yr comment_153551 Hrm, serranos and jalapenos. I've never hand any of either that were too spicy to eat, so I'd give it a shot too Report
August 24, 200818 yr comment_153565 2 cans rotel tomatos (get the ones that match your taste for the spicy) Rotel makes tomatoes now too? Sweet! Report
August 24, 200818 yr Author comment_153579 I think the key crux of the problem is that I left in a large quantity of seeds which apparently cause much spiciness. Basically though if I had to do this over again I would add more tomato since with two limes this is too limey and some tomato would mellow the fuck out of it. Probably less seeds too. Report
August 24, 200818 yr comment_153581 It is a rumour that the seeds are what cause the hotness. The capsaicin molecules are located in the membranes just inside the pepper. Chili pepper - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Report
August 24, 200818 yr Author comment_153582 Meh I am a beast of spicy food eating. I partake of habanero fare all the time :/ But this salsa with corn chips I need a class of milk to eat a bowl of ;p Report
August 25, 200818 yr comment_153636 Why don't you just "cut it" with some diced tomatoes? If it's too limey and too spicy, sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Or throw in something citrus-y -- like perhaps mango. Oh, and if you're actually considering shipping any -- I'm in. I'll even pay for shipping (mine only, the rest of y'all are on your own), as it'll have to be frozen and then overnighted, I would think (don't know -- 've never shipped food). Report

August 25, 200818 yr Author comment_153672 Yeah I threw in another 4 tomatoes and some avacado tastes pretty decent. I need to dice a little bit better though. Report
