July 20, 200620 yr comment_15311 It looks pretty well done to me. I would be very happy if I made a product like that. But I would rather take the ability to write the description as they have. Report
July 20, 200620 yr comment_15312 It looks pretty well done to me. I would be very happy if I made a product like that. For some, I'm sure it lacks the "bling-bling" factor. Cram it full and it's gotta be great, right? Dude, when you gonna have the next incarnation of the ae-1? I need a portable amp! Report
July 20, 200620 yr comment_15313 I'm working on it right now. I just received a new round of prototype boards yesterday. Could be the last one. Report
July 20, 200620 yr comment_15314 Can't wait. I'm almost certain I'll be jumping on an updated AE-1 as soon as it's ready. Weeee. Report
July 20, 200620 yr comment_15315 For this challenge, PS Engineers stayed away from op-amps yet again, and built a 100% class A discrete FET based output stage. This high-end stage uses sweet sounding FET?s at the input and low noise powerful bipolar transistors for the gain and output stage. Everything is direct coupled between the DAC output and the DLIII output so bass is stunning in its power and impact. Ah, a fine tapestry of technical specifications woven together with patronizing flowery speech. Does Tyll have an evil twin? Report
July 20, 200620 yr comment_15340 Same deal the GCHA but people seem to like that one.Mainly because of the volume control I think... the amp section is nothing special. However, their volume control implementation can be cloned for around $100... balanced. Report
July 24, 200620 yr Author comment_15515 Where's the option for "never"? It's a new dac, there has to be at least one guy with like ten posts posting how it's the best source he's ever heard and he's heard everything. Report
