Heading to Austin bright and early tomorrow morning, so Marc and I can get a few things done before flying out at the butt crack of dawn Thursday. See you fine folks then!

I had a good last day before my trip, although the temp. is already sweltering down here. I may have to buy one of those tacky '70s terry cloth sweatbands, just so I can see what I'm doing.

A lot of people say it's due to carrying excess weight. In my case that's complete BS. I've snored since my early teen years, and I was one scrawny little dude back then. A real solution would be nice, but none of the advertised crap works at all, at least in my case.

Should I stage a lube bottle and a dirty towel at his bedside, and wake up smiling.
-
I think that's where Dave will be crashing.

I fear I'll be added to that list. They tell me I'm much louder than my Father was, and that makes me gasp!

Interesting can be overrated.

My Dad was one of those guys that could not express his feelings for his children too (except with my Sister to a degree). I never heard I love you from him or never had a hug from him. But he did show it in different ways and I never doubted he loved us. I had been living in Texas for three years when he died, so I hadn't seen him in that time. When my Brother and I went to clean out his apartment we walked into what was almost like a shrine to us kids. A huge wall of pictures of us (very uncharacteristic for him). While we were cleaning and packing his neighbor came over. He started talking about how fun my Dad was (also very uncharacteristic). He never made friends easily outside of the family, but this guy was telling us that he was the one who organised all the parties in the building. Very strange. He also told us how proud he was of all of his kids, and that he would tell stories about us for hours. It made me happy and sad at the same time.

I hope I don't get a cell phone call while at CJ, because apparently I'm one of those guys that gets really loud when talking on the phone. I hate that! I snore like a freight train too, but I promise to stay awake until I'm in my room. If Fitz looks haggard you'll understand why.

I'm quite saddened by that story. I bet I would have loved to have a conversation with him.

I think it would be awesome to sound like Orson Wells. I'll let you know if I concur Reks.

Mine is a Northwest accent for sure, which is really a lack of any accent. I make up for that in volume though.
-
Me too, it's hard for me to believe he's been gone over 6 years now. I'll be a complete basket case when my Mom is gone. My Dad and I would get into these great card games, and the times I was on a lucky streak he'd get all bent out of shape. I'd love to play cards with him now, and hear him get grumpy.
-
Do be sure to pack your accent though. I'd be so disappointed if you sounded like you were from California. You too spritzer! It's been a good while since I've heard an Icelandic accent.

Your Mother works at Ikea?

You have a PM, and no it's not another roomy request. Oh, and I got the same PM as well.

I love Al to death, but that is up for debate. Congrats on finally starting on your 307A project. I'm looking forward to it.

^ Wait a minute...who's on first?
-
I think he built one for Al (pabbi1) too. If so it'll look even more incredible next to Al's usual Sanford & Son aesthetic.

Be sure the case is open when you do! Do you have a slight imbalance that you're compensating for? I see the right volume is adjusted slightly higher.

Those people will jump on and off of the latest "it" train anyway. I do agree that Skylab's review is a temporary boon for Audeze at best, but what impresses me are the reviews by well known, well respected Ortho guys. The real question is will Orthodynamic technology finally reach it's potential, and will that become as accepted as Dynamic or Electrostatic technology? Personally I really dig the Ortho flavor and have for decades. I have a really good reference point for dBel84's ears, and that's what makes me think this may be the best Ortho available at this time. Of coarse before I spend $900.00 on any headphone I'm going to evaluate it to the best of my ability myself. Ultimately, for me I prefer a more forward nature and the O2 wasn't able to give me that (on the KGSS). The personal debate for me ATM is whether I'll get enough use out of another headphone to justify the price. The K1000 is almost nirvana for me, but a headphone with almost visceral bass is a bit of a revelation.

Yeah, after 30+ years of using a miter saw, I can pretty much line up my cut first time. But it'll be fun to play with for at least 30 seconds. Now I can set up my other 12" compound miter saw permanently in my shop. I have the DeWalt stand as well, which makes setting up a stop for repetitive cuts a snap.

People are already starting to doubt the validity of my plus sized endowment, because they think I'm compensating with the Tower of Power. Imagine what they'd think if I added to it. I'm already considering going pants-less at CJ to regain my reputation. Ed, is there a short version of the CJ-10 T-Shirt?

DW-718. I've been wanting a 12" dual bevel slider for a while now. Not sure if I'll like the laser feature or not.

The other important factor is that if the LCD-2 comes close in performance, the ability to add it to an existing dynamic system without the need for an electrostatic amp is a huge plus for many of us that already own a great amp.
