  1. I ship to everywhere within the Milky Way.
  2. Good to hear that. I will revise the BOM for KGSSHV and Dynahi shortly, basing on my last order from Mouser.
  3. Hi Pal, Overkill is a standard here so everything will be balanced, if possible. The quantity in the spreadsheet is for set which already includes amp boards and PSU board, not the number of single boards, so please take note of that. Extra Requirement column is used just in case you want something extra or for backup. The KSA5 and Squarewave share the same PSU which is either original or alternative. Choose what you want. KGSSHV = 2x amp boards (either mini onboard or standard offboard) + 1x mini PSU. Squarewave = 4x amp boards (each board is single channel) + 2x KSA5 psu (either original or alternative, just note what you want). Dynahi onboard = 2x amp boards for balanced. Use the Sigma22 for PSU. KSA5 = 1x amp + 1x PSU. Since the board is huge, it's stereo only. Putting the quantity = 2 if you really want it balanced. Megatron = 1x amp for now. I will see if I could add the PSU for it. If not, the KGSSHV PSU will be included. From what I see from the spreadsheet, eggil seems to be confused about the extra requirement The PSUs are already included in the set. Nebby and holland might be confused about the number of sets. Cheers
  4. For the boards? I have no idea about this until finalizing the quantity.
  5. I will ask Dr Gilmore about the PSU. S22 is just what I am going to use with the Dynahi. 2.5" heatsinks and maybe, brings down the bias a bit.
  6. You can just tweak the KSA5 psu to have proper voltage for the squarewave. Of course the S22 would be great.
  7. I've got the permission from Dr Gilmore for a second run of boards, so let's do it again. Linky to the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AoNVeoQi85GgdFVrMmtReVpWNVBsQUo2Sl9iSkItM2c#gid=0 Please take a look at the notes before putting your needed quantity. If you want something extra (like a single PSU or amp), just put a note under Extra Requirement column. The Megatron is not fully-tested so if you really want to try it, do it at your own risk. Probably another 3 weeks for fabricating. Shipping time right after. Feel free to let me know if I miss something. Cheers.
  8. I have a couple of spare ones left from the last order, so if you really need it fast, I can ship out to you.
  9. I have 1 DAC, 3 dynamic amps and 3 electrostats.... but nothing totally finished. It's 215mm x 300mm. Might hard to squeeze in a large pot like the Khozmo or RK50, but something like the DACT or Alpha would be just fine.
  10. I don't think the BH will ever be released to public. But the Megatron is very tempting indeed.... Other boards I'd love to try or prototype are the onboard Dynahi, KSA5 and Dynalo. I've just stopped by the machine shop to pick up my custom case for this KGSSHV. Haven't finished the front panels, but here is the bottom plate. Very compact and the PSU and amp are the same size A stack of them would be awesome, I hope.
  11. As usual, gerber file to make boards is available from Dr Gilmore. Just ask nicely. I am waiting for the peek screws to test with the new mini amp boards which use all new devices. When everything is done, I will try to compare with my old KGSSHV. Sonic differences... might be yes, but very small, I guess. The main advantage is everything can be sourced from a single vendor which is a huge plus. Mouser now has the 2.5" Aavid heatsinks so we don't have to order them from Digikey. I compared the Aavid with the 2.5" Ohmite in my BOM and the former is a clear winner. Group buy will be opened in a day or two. Thinking of what other boards should we order?
  12. Got the new mini PSU powered up fine Voltage is pretty much right on. I am using new devices, ksc5026 and ksa1156, instead of the 2sc3840 and 2sa1486.
  13. Next weekend when I got the transformer and make sure the new kgsshv works fine, I will organize a small groupbuy of every board available. Hopefully it will go smoothly like last time...
  14. Kerry, that's a superb job! I'm almost done with the new mini boards. Just waiting for the peek screws and transformer then I can fire it up.
  15. Those are larger. The needed ones are thinner.
  16. I don't mind longer boards, as long as the width is shorter.
  17. Hey I am all in for smaller version. Still not sure if the boards could fit my chassis... What film caps are you mentioning? In the amp or psu?
  18. I am ordering some prototype boards this weekend. Let me know if you want to be a genuine pig. Only the amp board though, I have some S22 that can do the power work. Before doing that, would appreciate any clear eye to check for error(s). http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/dynahibal8.jpg
  19. There will be 2 venting columns on each of the remaining top-bottom panels. Regarding the amp's top, exactly how hot is it? I might try to add some holes around the tubes or even columns, if it's really necessary.
