As good as the Kistler is, I kinda like the mid palate pop and finish of the Peter Michael's better, nonetheless they are both excellent. Koonsgard is pretty good too.

2006 Kosta Browne Russian River Valley Pinot. It's OK and takes forever to open up.

Given my very limited experience with Malbecs, I found it pretty decent and it was nice to step out of my Pinot/Cabernet comfort zone and try something yummy. Wayne, ever though of using a repellentepellant like those rabbit sprays sold in home gardening stores? I use a rabbit arepellentepellant that smells like ass and it does seem to work at repelling rabbits deer and Jehovah's witness folks for a few weeks at a time.

Still thinking about Spaten Beer but decided to do a little wine tasting this evening. First up a Renacer malbec, not bad probably go with a nice honey roasted ham at Easter (makes mental note)--- heads up to Dusty and Dan. Second was a Four Brix Winery Rhonedezvous, interesting blend of Syrah (the Rhone reference in the name), Mourverdre, Grenache and a varietal I have never heard of. Oddly have a very distinct aroma of Plumeria, haven't experienced that since living in Hawaii where I had a crap load of plumeria in our yard. Interestingly different and hard to pick out a dish that this would complement, perhaps a mild curry dish or a paella. Not a bad night but no religious awakenings as yet.

It's bad for your bark, and leaves one vulnerable to beetles and carpenter ants. Friends don't let friends expose their wood to carpenter ants.

winged carpenter ants are far better than termites and cheaper to get rid of which means more money is left over for cocktails! Al have fun with the family and FYI, I never ever saw any German frauleins that looked like the pictures [posted and believe me I spent a lot of time in every beer hall from Berlin to Tirol, the fantasy is a good one though.

wow, seeing beer but drinking this--- H. Billiot Cuvee Julie this time and it is much better than the laetitia which ain't bad. Wow again, this champagne is really nice, like french kissing Audrey Hepburn; elegant, tasteful and much more than I deserve. Then again, life is not fair and sometimes I get more than I deserve.
