Has anybody contested apple refusing to honor their waranty?
Chekhonte replied to Chekhonte's topic in Portable Audio
I don't have a LOD to see if it works or not. I bought a replacement headphone jack that will arrive in a day or two anyway. I recienved the ipod in the mail yesterday and upon opening it I noticed that there was a dent on the upper right corner that probably indicated to them that it was mishandled. I don't know if it was there before or I shipped it, I don't remember dropping it but who knows, it could have happened in my bookbag or something. I'm not going to fight it. -
What pigments are used in printer ink?

curious, I may have to pick some up and give them a try. -

Thanks for that info, I was talking about ink jet printers. Organic inks are no good for me. I was hoping that some of the pigments would survive the ceramics firing process like traditional pigments would but it looks like no dice. -
Wow, thanks. I'll take advantage of that.

That Colbert Report is hilarious. I wish I had extended cable to watch that show when it's on.
-
Ah, thanks. I haven't been reading up much on the iphone/touch.

Does anybody know if the shurese530 headphone jack is small enough to fit into the jack of the 1st gen ipod touch. I think I remember there being a problem with some plugs not fitting.
-
wow, ok. I didn't know that. Now I really have to consider it.
-
I definitely don't want a macbook. I'll just wait until a 64gb player comes out and the 32 drops 100 dollars.
-
I just don't want to spend 400 bucks on a player right now. The sculpture class I'm taking requires about 500 dollars in materials and I don't make much money and only get about 2000 dollars in scholarships stipend a quarter.
-
Wow, that's tight. I might get a 32gb version when the price comes down. I still need quite a bit of storage since I bike to school a lot and it takes about an hour, I'd prefer having the lions share of music with me.
-
I will try it but when fedex shipped it back it was with a signature and it was the end of the school quarter last week and I didn't have a chance to pick it up. When I went to the fedex center on saturday they informed me that they had already sent it back to apple. I really need a mp3 player before I go though hassle of having it shipped back to me. i'll fix it and sell it to a friend so I won't be losing much money by buying a new one.
-
that does sound pretty sweet. I might have to consider the touch. When you say stream your music do you mean that you stream it from your computer or from the internet?
-
I going to get one for sure when the storage and price is right. They are really cool and fun to play around with. The only thing I don't like about is that you can't pause them through you pocket like you can with tactile buttons. Storage is the selling point for me. I have a 1 terabyte music collection and about another 50GB in This American Life and other talk radio podcasts.
-
I wish I had a 360 or a pc that would play it. It seems like a really fun game.
-
I would agree with that if I hadn't owned MP3 players before the two that broke and never had a problem with the jack before. I've owned 2 4g's, 2 nomad jukebox 3's, zen vision:m and one nomad jukebox zen xtra before the two ipod classics.
-
I need to replace my broken iPod and I'm not sure whether to get an iPod Classic or Zune 120GB. From what I hear the new Zunes are pretty good and the syncing software is not an embarrassment any longer. The problem is that I don't know anybody that acutally has one. Have any of you had a chance to monkey around with one? I like ipods but the headphone jack seems to be a weak point, my past two classics have broke pretty quick and on the last one apple refused to fix it. What do you guys think?

micheal jackson sure is getting weirder and weirder.

The block and tackle is a great one. It's very simple and works extremely well. It's kind of the same principle as leverage. If you have a heave stone on a plank and move the fulcrum closer to the block and creasing the size of the lever you have to pull o the other side but it decreases the amout of force you have to exert.

yeah, pinbot is one of the most fantastic pinball machines i've played. Pinball machine upkeep is a bitch though.

I'm a huge pinball geek. I currently hold the high scores on the 4 pinball machines at my favorite bar. Demolition man, dr. dude, Cyclone and dirty harry.

ha, yeah the Aeneid is roman and it's the last book on the list. I'm sure that we're transitioning into roman thought at the end of the quarter.

I'm glad that this thread was made too. I've been procrastinating the replacement of my soldering iron for far too long.
