  1. I wish I had discovered Stax more than a few months ago, as I regret not being part of the group buy After the current set of reviews, I've pretty much convinced myself that I need to buy the SR009 once my BHSE has shipped. Does anyone know of anyone within CONUS who has successfully bought a SR009 from PJ? I read through the entire thread and saw cautionary notes about PJ's questionable shipping, but $4440 looks much more palatable than the $5200 at WA and $5250 at Elusive Disc, and the used prices haven't budged from MSRP. Also, buying something this expensive overseas is a first for me. The $4440 at PJ is quoted with EMS. Can I expect more fees tacked onto that? Thanks for any insight on this. I hope some of the future SR009 reviews talk about its performance with electronica/metal/rock. I'm seeing mostly classical and jazz, which I don't listen to too often. Seems like pretty much everyone with the SR009 has either a BHSE or WES!
  2. Are profile viewing privileges now restricted to users above a specific post count? If I try to view my own or anyone else's profile, I get the following error message: [#10245] You are not permitted to view member profiles. I tried looking around the forums for a technical/troubleshooting thread, so I hope this is the right place to post this.
  3. This decay data is really interesting, I wonder if it can be linked back to qualitative statements (such as muddiness). Another interesting point of comparison might be solid state versus tube. Do any of the graphs that normally float around the community include time? Everything I've seen to this point seems to only reference the signature at that particular instant (amplitude vs. frequency)... I'm assuming the standard 2D dataplots do not measure any sort of delta, other than taking these snapshots under hopefully identical circumstances for the sample. Upon digging a bit more, I came across these (2006 post), but never saw them brought up again. I wonder which Japanese user/company did these: http://www.head-fi.o...60#post_6978894
  4. The only games I go back over-and-over again tend to be competitive multiplayer, so mostly FPSes (TF2, L4D2). You might get some mileage out of Vampire: Bloodlines. Game feels very different playing a Malk vs a Tremere or Toreador/Brujah. Deux Ex: Human Revolution might be fun for one or two playthroughs, but most people are just playing hardmode, stealth/hacking (which works well until you get into the boss fights). ME2 is even better than ME1 for replayability. Soldier, Vanguard, and Adept are probably the three polar opposites in gameplay experience.
