slow forum
Well, I've been a Kenneth Patchen fan since I was in my early 20s. It was fun to bump into these. There is something so dated about them, they're wonderful, though the stylized reading takes away from how good the writing really is. There's a NSFW moment in the first:

Ask him about The Plastic People of the Universe. Allen turned me on to them in the early 80s, and I met Vratislav Brabenec. Not exactly punk music, but more punk in every way than 99% of "punk" bands. Check them out, though your new friend might be too young to know them.

Sounds like folks had some nice weekend activities. Im jealous of Al. I actually paid someone to help me move my furniture around and do some serious cleaning. I had no idea there were so many cat toys in my house. More of same today. It's not fun at all, but it feels good.

Post the last thing you bought!
My aunt and uncle live in Carmel, right outside Indianapolis. My mom's family are farm folk from southern Indiana, down near Evansville, though only a couple are left in that area.

Airplane tickets to Indiana for family reunion in August. There's been one every year, usually at Easter. I've missed the last 15 to 20, though I might have made one about 16 or so years ago. I just don't remember so it probably doesn't count. I guess it's time I made an appearance.

npr music app is wonderful and it's free. I've spent half the day listening to old shows. I just listened to the two-part Jazz Profile show of Duke Ellington.

Quirky Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip
Well, yes, but then there would be issues with the cat, so I'm afraid I'll have to choose other.

I love the ibook app. They just don't have enough books that interest me yet, but that's okay. I'm assuming they will come.

Quirky Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip
Nope, had never heard of them. Now I know.

Quirky Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip
Ah. Most of mine have a bigger part of the plug, and a smaller one, if that's what you mean by polarized, so that they can only go in one direction.

iPad apps
I just downloaded it as well. It's technically not an ipad/phone app, so maybe I should have posted the link elsewhere, but oh well.

Quirky Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip
That's it. I'm trying to charge three - five things at the same time. Nebby, so that strip seems nifty, but if you rotate down a bit, don't you then have the problem that the chargers, if bulky, are hitting on the floor and raising the whole strip up? Am I making sense? I know what I'm trying to say, but not sure if I'm saying it in a way that is understandable.

Quirky Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your recommendation, but it's the bulkiness of my various chargers that's the problem, not output voltages. I'll have a power strip with five or whatever-number spots, but can't use them all, since the chargers get in the way of each other. This eliminates that by being able to curve it around to accommodate them.

Quirky Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip
Maybe these are old news, but I'm often slow at finding this stuff. I have trouble both at work and at home with power strips that can basically charge my two phones, computer, maybe my slim, ipad, etc at the same time. I just bought one of these and will see how it works. quirky | Pivot Power Flexible Power Strip Any one else try it or have a better solution?

iPad apps
I was reading something about this app. It's free until September if you get it from the developer. I haven't tried it. Phone Disk - Mount iPad, iTouch, iPhone to Disk Mode in Finder

Apple Tablet
I like the look of the Defender, but wonder how uncomfortable it would be to hold or do anything with while holding it.
