  1. Nope. I subscribe to a couple random picture RSS feeds, and I suspect one of the people who posts there is on this site you keep mentioning.

    Fallout 3

I remember how much the first two Fallout games ate my life.. I played through the original game two or three times, from 1998-2001, and played Fallout 2 only once. That still took the better part of a year between all the reloads and collecting all the dogs and a whole tangent as an arms dealer. I never played Fallout Tactics, the demo looked so bad I couldn't get into it. I did play the Brotherhood of Steel game for the X-Box. It mostly sucked, but I got through it in less than a week. I am not sure I'm thrilled by the idea of Fallout 3 being an FPS.
  3. A friend of mine, who understands this kind of stuff said "Chrome seems to be the culmination of a lot of good ideas from other browsers, plus a nifty engine to run it all." He elaborated on various bits they'd swiped from Opera, FFX, etc. I like FFX3 enough that Chrome will have to be really good for me to switch.
  4. Oh Em Eff Gee. I just TXT'd my friend Greg, the one with the 36MP in Apple monitor. I asked him what model Senns he had. He said "something mid-90s" and that they broke and he replaced them with ...Bose Quite Comfort 2s. Feel free to beat him senseless and re-assign his Macintoys as you see fit, Reks. I am officially disowning him.
  5. That was pretty fricken cool.
  6. Moved another 500-ish records out of my living room.
  7. I used to play Scorched Earth 15ish years ago. That game could cause friendships to be called into question.
  8. Michael Phelps 100M Butterfly Victory!!! from MagicHugs
  9. Being dyslexic, I make typos and other mistakes all the time. Especially when I'm tired and, uh, have recently endangered my own life. I usually proofread any post I make, twice. Plenty or errors still get through. Your mockery actually wasn't that un-funny, I've just been itching to use that graphic, and Mr. Baguette has been quiet today. That emoticon was appropriate after all...
  10. I don't even know what that last emoticon means, but it's too bizarre not to use.
  11. I only moved 250 of the ~2500 records in my living room today, and even that took several hours. I had to first empty one of the my record shelves, make space for it in another room, then set it up and level it with shims (of the joys of owning an old hours.) It got sick of working inside, so I went out and did some limbing with my chainsaw. I nearly ran myself out of talent there at the end. I took out a couple tall but very thin trees, and one 25-footer wast attached to another ~35-40-footer by these nasty vines. I ended up with the top third of the tree I cut down swinging from the taller tree, which was leaning over ominously. Worse still, the whole damn thing was pointed in the general direction of the bay window in my liver room. Fortunately, I was able to hack off a few 5' pieces of the tree I cut, and drag the rest of it in the opposite direction of the house. Eventually the vines snapped, and both me and the bay window survived. In the words of Strong Bad, look who thinks he's Clever Dan.
  12. *ahem* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KQcMXKe050 Fast forward to around 6:10.
  13. Move 2-3000 records out of my living room so that the contractors can access the south wall on Tuesday.
  14. Did I read that correctly? Did you say place the switch panel's plug into the surge protector's outlet, or place the surge protector's outlet over and around the switch panel's plug? I'm a simple man; I do not possess an engineering degree nor am I mechanically inclined. Sorry to have taken up so much of your time. Please continue with the wonderful safety lecture technical description. (with apologies to the late, great George Carlin)
  15. Check the top item on this page. It ain't high end audio, but it'll give you eight individually switched outlets. That plus 8 of the abovementioned extension cords will do what you're describing.
  16. I got a bunch of 1 foot extension cords from monoprice. They turn any surge protector into a squid, as needed.
