I disagree with this premise. Horses are beautiful, noble animals. SJP is a vile harpie. ... Greetings from the Edgartown Public Library!

4N6's balanced DT-880s. Now I uh, just need an amp to drive them.

80s Maiden rules. I listened to Live After Death twice this week ....on KSC-75s.

Woke up at 8AM, on a Saturday(!) Emptied all the lighting equipment out of my car, loaded the recycling in. Drove to the dump transfer station, was reminded why I avoid dump runs on Saturday. Went to the bank, deposited checks almost totaling the amount I just plunked down on 4N6's balanced 880s. Did a quick grocery run. Came home, ate lunch. Now it's time to go get a scrip filled, then begin packing for a week's trip to the Vineyard.

Hillary vid is no more. This picture is an illusion. Up close, it looks like a somewhat blurry shot of Albert Einstein. Move back 15 feet (or more) and it's Marilyn Monroe.

QFT. I quit 8 1/2 years ago, and still get cravings upon occasion. I fully expect to get them the rest of my life. It's part of the cost of quitting smoking. I'd still not go back, but if I was diagnosed with some terminal illness, you can bet I'd have one last smoke.

Wow, just wow. I missed this thread the first time. After seeing the first image, I am impressed. Tyll is hardcore. After seeing the second second image, I'm uh... I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon trying to un-see that/forwarding it to as many audio snobs as I know.

Enter your address into the walk score site, and it "shows you a map of what's nearby and calculates a Walk Score for any property. Buying a house in a walkable neighborhood is good for your health and good for the environment." My house got a whopping 8.

Power cable, DAC or AMP first?
Knuckledragger replied to Dominatrice's topic in Home Source Components
ISTR a sales droid @ Spearit Sound told me that Rotel amps are grounded through the preamp via the ICs. I have no idea if this is true or not. It sounds plausible. Curiously, one of my DJ mixers (a decidedly mid-grade Gemini 626) has a 3-prong IEC, while my much more expensive ones (Pioneer and Allen & Heath) do not. Pro video editing equipment almost universally has 3-prong IEC connectors. Pro audio gear is a distressing combination of IEC3, external PSUs (wart-in-the-line and wall warts) and hardwired cords.
