If you're talking about me ("truth about my amps thread"), you must have read another thread I also got a Corda Aria, and have heard other HOME amps, but not other portables. And in general i was curious about the technical sophistication of my amps. And as far as i know, i've never "seen the light" wtf..... absolute truth? i think you really should read the thread again.... If it's not me, i haven't said anything

I think as soon as i sold the Hornet, i'll try a mini?. I found a local guy who builds them for a good price. And he's currently on his first ?22, so for the future....

yeah, it really is shame. but i do hope that there will be new levels by the community soon...

First of, i'd take a honest answer, and may it sound strong 10x over an "every-thread-is-an-appretiation-thread" answer over at headfi, so thanks for all opinions! Why did i buy the Hornet? Basically because of the praise over at the "other site", so in retrospective brainwash fits the bill pretty good..... And as i'm based in Europe it's always hard to score something good at the headfi "for sale" forum (i only bought used till now, money is tight...), since many won't ship to Europe. So one day the Hornet popped up in the FS forum, europe based, very decent price, and i bought it. I rather wanted a Xin amp (Macro or Micro), but there were none at the time so i thought: "There so many good opinions about, so why not..." And of course JB is right: I only can learn by hearing it myself (for all i know you could be all mental assholes round here as well ) I think i will take a good look at the DIY options out there.

The thing is just, that i have no possibility of comparing it to other gear. And as i already said, i only can say that the Hornet isn?t near as good as the Aria. And after reading many comments here about "Ray?s business model" i just became even more curious, about what?s the Hornet for real. So it?s more about curiousity where my gear is placed in the "greater scheme", since i never had the possibility of hearing anything else. :-/

Hi, After scaring the shit out of me (as someone coming from headfi, many of the topics here are very "enlightning"....), you gotta tell me "the truth" about my amps ;-) I have a RSA Hornet, and although i`ve never quite got all the fuzz about it over at headfi, i thought it was ok (i have to add, that i did buy it used for a very good price. The retail price always seemed crazy to me...), some of the comments here about RSA products in general caught my eye: "Safety hazard, errors in the layout, a.s.o". So what?s the truth about the Hornet? What are his faults? Where does it stand performancewise for real? My home amp is the Corda Aria. I always liked it a lot (much better than the Hornet), but couldn?t find much about it here. So what?s the verdict about it ?round here? Since i bought both of them after research over on headfi (no chance to audition other gear before buying where i live sadly...), and after surfing here for while (and learning a lot about the "real headfi", i really like to hear the opinions of people here! )
