  1. I did say "thought put into it". 2 separate jacks where one can't be plugged into the other is easier
  2. IMO, a 4-conductor mini plug is a much better idea. And they are half the height, allowing for low profile amps. A little thought put into it, and you can build an amp with a 4-conductor mini jack that will go unbalanced when a 3-conductor headphone is plugged in. So no need for a 2nd jack. Visually, it will look the same as other portable amps, and it will be harder to justify an expensive cable that looks like it just has another ring around the plug. So that's probably what it's all about.

  4. i love it, stuffed both channels before testing, like an impatient child
  5. Whiplash Audio has reasonably priced ones, so does Qables
  6. I'm not exactly sure, I would think around 1Vrms
  7. Gain varies as you turn the knob. I can set it at a max of about 5x
  8. probably 4 feet
  9. I do include a DC Adapter, so why use that? It is a Micro USB connector. It should work as long as there is nothing proprietary and it's regulated
  10. LOL @ the guy who says he wasted his time refreshing the page all night. I said not to do that
  11. Up to #125-150 of requests is still a good chance of being in the first 100
  12. I've also only received low to average quality boards from the USA. I don't think the capability to make boards like the ones KG ordered exists here anymore. Maybe only for Top Secret Military Work. And it will cost $$$$
  13. You think those boards weren't made in China?
  14. I had to change my flight to Sat morning (although last night's all nighter was still a partial success). Not sure if they'll let me get a refund for tonight at the hotel, so if anyone wants the room at a discount and I can get them to let you check in let me know. I'll be there at 10:30 tomorrow, does the shuttle run continuously?
  15. keep pressing the order button, its too easy!
  16. I'm sure you'll have at least a week to do that
  17. There's a status page? Do not want to know how many hits that page gets...
  18. You'll still have to pay for the bottle of Chipotlaway
  19. There's a measurable benefit to replacing the cable in these IEMs, if you get 4 wires all the way to the jack. The stock cables join the ground wire at the Y-split which reduces stereo separation. Enough to hear, probably not, but it will be there. This change is at least a billion times greater than what kind of wire is used I like cables that are well built, durable, aren't microphonic, don't coil up or are an annoyance. It will be hard to improve on the stock cable in any of these areas.
  20. i agree. people make all kinds of useless posts on there too, its worse than HF Dinny FitzPatrick How does "Deadwood" differ from, say, "Black"? ; ) November 12 at 1:26am
  21. Welcome to Facebook | Facebook
  22. Yes. You'll always find an aftermarket cable that equals the price of the headphone
  23. Balanced IEMs would be used by so few people, it wouldn't be worth considering making a balanced IEM amp. Unless of course you are also going to offer the $1,000 cable for IEMs, which seems to be selling just fine (balanced termination costs extra)
  24. justin

    Deals

Overstock had Skullcandy earbuds for $5 shipped
  25. that one costs more
